A good read about a soiled dove who leaves the life and only wants to be respectable. The man, Roy who loves her for herself. My only problem with the Sarah's character is she was a bit too naive for someone who worked in a business selling her body. But still a good read around 107 pgs. The added bonus is Charlie and Michael, along with other characters from  Our little Secret appear in the book. *vrnb*

Find this review and more at Lusty Penguin Reviews! Sarah Sunshine, part of the Montana Romance series by Merry Farmer, is a delightful and endearing historical romance. Farmer’s attention to historical details pulls the reader into this western romance set in Montana, 1896. Finally free from her saloon contract, Sarah Withers desires to change her reputation, so she can become a respected member of the community. Always cheerful, Sarah helps anyone in town that needs it: midwife, store clerk, and the mailman. Her pleasant disposition earns her the nickname Sarah Sunshine. Sarah’s sheer determination to change makes her a compelling character, but Roy LaCroix, one of her customer’s at the saloon, is complicating her transformation. Sarah has strong feelings for Roy but is afraid her tainted reputation will hurt his position as manager of the new hotel in town. In love with Sarah, Roy patiently waits for her to figure out how to change her circumstances, even though he doesn’t think she needs to do anything, which makes Roy a wonderful leading man. Sarah thinks living at the local boarding house will help rebuild her reputation. She doesn’t realize that just being herself—kind and helpful—will do more to change how others view her. When Sarah’s past becomes the center of attention during the hotel opening, the beautiful way Roy publicly defends Sarah brought a huge smile to my face and leads to the most wonderful romantic conclusion. The way Sarah and Roy realize that they are stronger together than apart make them an adorable couple. With an independent and stubborn heroine and a dashing hero, Sarah Sunshine, is a charming historical romance that will sweep you away. I received an eBook copy of the book from the author for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility.

All of the books in Merry Farmer’s Montana Romance series have a theme of starting over and finding love and Sarah Sunshine also fits that theme. Taking place in Cold Springs Montana, Sarah is a worker in a saloon with a rough past. She wants to be considered respectable but things don’t work out until she meets a man named Roy. Roy has a shady past also and the question is can both of them get over their past and find a new beginning? This book is everything you would expect in a romance. Two characters who have their issues and lives seem incomplete but then they find each other and their lives get better. If your into romances you will love this book. I thought some of the other books in this series were better but this one delivers what you would expect and if you love a good love story what more can you ask for. Sarah Sunshine is like a fairy tale, I love the way the setting is described and the characters are all likeable. This was an entertaining read.

Captivating romance that warms the heart Sarah Withers is finally free from her contract after working at the town’s saloon for the past five years. Determined to become a respectable woman to win the heart of the love of her life, Roy LaCroix, she turns to the town’s Bible-quoting spinster to help her achieve her goal. However, when a twenty-year-old feud between the spinster and the saloon owner comes to light, Sarah unwittingly becomes an instrument for revenge. Sarah’s respectability and hopeful future with Roy is put in jeopardy when her mentor weaves her cruel plan.  This entertaining historical romance, which takes place in Montana in the late 1800’s, is a unique and heart-warming view of the trials of true love when bound by the stringent standards of society. Merry Farmer demonstrates her talent for writing by crafting a creative storyline filled with love, compassion, tolerance, and humor. She combines the narrow-minded prejudice and austere mores of the time with the innate goodness of man and transforms them into a delightful love story that has the reader rooting for the happily ever after.  The characters are appealing and come to life on the pages. With no lulls or overly descriptive areas, the plot flows smoothly as the reader follows the protagonists’ journey to lasting happiness. This lighthearted novella is delivered with style and finesse, leaving no ends unfinished. Sarah Sunshine is a captivating romance that not only warms the heart and lifts the spirits, but also leaves one with a smile long after the last page is read.

Did not care for this one. Shallow, one dimensional characters; not much of a plot, and vulgar. Cannot recommend at all.

I've read the first two in this series. You should read in order. This story just wasn't as good as the first two. It helped to have the background from the first two books or I would have been lost :-)

A good read at about 100 pages and free. Main character is a little naive for her profession but some people.are just that way. Steamy sex scene makes this booklet a read for adults
