As an agnostic searching desperately for religious insight, I picked up this book and was fascinated. While I decided that Satanism is not for me, I found the book to be a compelling look at the psychology of sexuality and, when read with an open mind and a grain of salt, a wealth of information for anyone, male or female, regardless of religious background.

I just finished reading this, it was a VERY helpful book, shared a lot of things I can apply in my every day life, and brought some of the things I used to do into sharp focus as just plain working against myself. I really enjoyed it, even as a male Satanist it has really given me some helpful insights. To those of you who claim we are not true witches or warlocks I say read the Satanic Bible before saying such things.

When I opened this book I could not believe the tricks of the trade it taught. I have to admit, before reading this book I thought to my-self, what power could a Witch really have? Boy oh boy was I wrong to ever doubt that they had very little. This book teaches the women how to get what they want and give to those what they deserve. For women to use and enjoy and for men to know, or maybe even they can employ some of these most magical concepts. That's a secret all togeather.

I find it absolutely HILARIOUS that people are getting so riled up over the title "The Satanic Witch." If Magus LaVey was alive today, I'm sure you would have done him proud! First: Witch isn't a religion, it's a lifestyle. They have gods and goddesses of their own passed down by their heritage. "Wicca" was actually a  family name that was stolen and revealed to the public. Second: Satanism isn't the "worship of Satan," it's the worship of onesself as their own "god" or "goddess." Honestly, Satanism is just a huge "screw you" to the world, so by getting all riled up over just the title, would show that Satanists like the late Magus LaVey, is doing a great job! Thank you for attending my short black mass! Shemhafarash!

this book was originally titled "The Compleat Witch" (yes, old spelling, not an error) and i wish they hadn't changed it. regardless of title, this is an amazing book that all women should read. its empowering and gives many ways to use being a smart, beautiful woman to achieve your goals. much of LaVey's writings are about psychology and human nature - knowledge everyone should be aware of no matter what your religion of choice.

Here LaVey teaches young women the arts of seduction, how to exploit their beauty or their ugliness, and it is the principle book that teaches us how to apply what he called Lesser Magic, whereas his The Satanic Rituals taught Greater Magic. A must-read for all girls who want to be in control!

An excellent primer on the arts of manipulation and seduction. Though it is written for women, the discerning male reader will gain much from a careful reading. Dr. LaVey's deliciously wicked sense of humor is woven throughout, making this not only eminently practical but a fun read. Oh, and Robert, I wouldn't necessarily call a high-school dropout working various dead-end jobs 'Satanic' (as I understand Diane Hegarty was upon meeting LaVey), but perhaps I have higher standards?

A must have for any female Satanist. This book teaches more than just how to manipulate men; it teaches that no matter what body shape or look you posses, you are beautiful and you can be successful in anything you wish.

Stop complaining about how LaVey called female Satanists "Satanic Witches". Witchcraft in general is the use of energy or "magic". Wiccan is a religion, witchcraft  is not. Therefore, the term witch can be used by a Satanist! Also LaVeyan Satanists don't even believe in Satan.

LaVeyan Satanists don'e believe in Satan as a diety, but an idea. The overall idea of "Satan" represents mankind's carnal desires. The term "witch" is used to describe a practitioner of magick or ritualistic actions. Meaning ANYONE of ANY religion practicing these can be a "witch".  It does not mean you are a bad person if you are a Satanic witch. And if you just say " Witches don't believe in Satan", no one will know what kind of witch you are. Like a Wiccan witch? Or a tribal African witch? Some other pagan witch? Or a Satanic witch? ANYONE practicing rituals or magick is considered a witch. You need to learn more about your own religion and others before you post something like this. It's almost hurtful. And I'm not even Satanic. I'm Wiccan.

Why christians care so much about what god people choose to worship.. and then tell them how terrible they are. No one asked you what you think & you do not own the lot & you certainly have no authority to tell anyone you know best. People choose to live the way they do . It is their life & choices. Stop condeming ...

Look, LaVeyan Satanism is not wicca. We do not believe in any gods but ourselves. Jesus is a lie, the christian god doesn't exist. If anyone buys this book, the they must read the Satanic Bible first, otherwise you have no business looking up or reading this book. For those who have read the Satanic bible, this book is wonderfull and useful. Hail Satan!

I tell you this here and now, people have their own beliefs, if people like I and others like me, put up with Christian BS we get thrown at us every day, then you should do the same. The book itself is wonderful, and wether or not people choose to believe is entirely up to them, but do not descriminate on something you know nothing about.

I'm not a satanist ... i'm connected with witchcraft (witchcraft and wicca are two different things ! ) i think i'll have to say this sentence till the rest of my days ... if you follow Mr. Levey concepts you will love this book , not my cup of tea but i really enjoyed the book !

Although I do not consider myself a Satanist, and practice all sorts of magick, I have read most of LaVey's books including this one, and it's obvious most Wiccans don't know a thing about Satanism or satanic witchcraft. Study up a bit before you decide to get self-righteous and claim that there's only one 'true' type of witchcraft -- YOURS!

As a satanist, after I have read this book in its entirety, I could never put it down even though I have finished reading The Satanic Witch. There were elements of human sexuality that I had never thought possible that had come to the surface of my ego as well as to my present knowledge of what were the status quo to the traditional roles to the female bearer who shall read these bindings. The tactile references of this book come from the turn of the beginning of the twentieth century in the most finite detail in which what is in the best interest concerning the proper conduct to a real witch that goes about her day by utilizing the husband and the masculine quarry she holds dear while she can be capable at the same time of other quarry in controlling the weak and incompetent man of a pompous nature she utilizes to her witchy benefit. This is true that this is real serious and interesting stuff to me that had really gave me an eye opening gratification that LaVey's book follows in his book for the woman who wants power over her life. I believe him and in his new age homilies that whoever reads these bindings that the true meaning of The Satanic Witch shall ring true to the reader of the curious spectator to the female enchantress who will benefit from these teachings here.

As a female satanist, I ordered this book with extreme curiousity. After having read 'The Satanic Bible', I'm pretty familiar with LaVey's view on witchcraft and I was impatient to see what this book had to say on the subject. To put it in a nutshell, LaVey shows women how to use their feminine atributes to their advantage. It's worth the reading, even though some of his techniques aren't my style. LaVey is kind of like Howard Stern; he says what we all want to say but we're scared to.

I am a male satanist, but I found this book to be very informative. I think any woman should read this book, it will help you to get a lot of places and it will make you stronger as a result. I was able to show this to one woman and she became very good at rituals.
