This double CD brings back an entire radio broadcast, the first anniversary show of the legendary Saturday Night Swing Club. The many performances are often classic, the recording quality is excellent except for three songs by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli that were performed live in France and are very full of static and even the announcing by Paul Douglas is lively. To use a cliche, it is almost like being there. One can truly feel the excitement of the swing era during this highly recommended release.
