This was one of the books I used to review for the NCLEX-RN exam. Although, I wasn't able to finish the book, I can say that it contains a lot of test questions that would help you retain certain information needed for the NCLEX. The 'per subject' portion of the book contains more challenging questions as compared to the ones found under the comprehensive part. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it had some typo errors. For example, it would say that the answer is no.1 but when you read the rationale/explanation it would say that the answer is no. 2. I can say that this book certainly helped me pass the NCLEX on my first take! I took the test for 2 hours and the computer stopped at 75.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I passed the NCLEX for Illinois and this book helped me a lot.I've read the book twice and answered the CD-Rom questions for a whole month. Just focus on what you are reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

This is a good book, any day any time. It has a lot of good information. The C.D questions are too easy, not NCLEX style. I'm yet to take my board exam, but i'm using the book for content studing. Excellent book though. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I passed the NCLEX-RN last week here in New York. This book is a good source for 'content.' When I finished reading this book for at least 3 times.I felt I was ready. But my friends who took the same exam told me that learning content is not enough because NCLEX is about critical thinking. So, I took review classes at Kaplan about a month before my exam. Kaplan's strategies are really good and they have a lot of questions that will serve as a practice. My friends who took classes at Kaplan said the strategies taught to us was really helpful but on my case and some others it did not. The questions I got during my test was really complicated, the choices were really tricky. Nevertheless, I passed with a minimum of 75 questions. But it's crucial to know content before learning strategies at review centers, although I wasn't able to use kaplan's strategies, having a vast knowledge on content through reading saunders (and lippincott and good foundation in college) and getting used to answering about two thousand questions provided by kaplan will help a great deal. God bless! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I wish I would have had this book while I was in Nursing School! It is a great review and helped me pass the NCLEX this month on the first try. It has so many questions, that when I got to the NCLEX, I felt I was really prepared and was able to answer the questions on the exam without much difficulty. I would recommend this book to anyone.........it seems like a lot of material, but I read it front to back and did the questions on the CD-ROM and felt VERY prepared for the exam. Was this review helpful? Great Study Guide. I passed NCLEX the first time in Texas in January 2005 using this study guide. The author has content pyramid points that if you follow, you will have mastered studying for the exam. Good Luck to all!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. My teacher uses this book and takes out questions straight out of the book. If you were lucky enough to have gotten a hold of it before the local b&n got sold out, you can get 105/105 correct!
