Overview

The darkness in his soul could claim her love...or her life.

Freygard, a world where women rule and men are slaves, would seem to be a female Nirvana. Not for the warrior Nerya. So far her required visits to the coupling chambers have been awkward and embarrassing. Until Jaden. Despite his chains, the defiant slave's expert pleasuring satisfies her body-and sparks a determination to defend him from her cruel queen.

Jaden couldn't be in a worse position. Nerya has not only claimed his prized white stallion, she's somehow managed to abscond with his ability to resist her sexual appeal. His escape attempt is disastrous, until Nerya intervenes with an unheard-of deal. In exchange for guiding her to an unmapped kingdom to find the sister she never knew she had, she will free both him and his men.

On the journey, Nerya's determination to resist her powerful attraction to Jaden melts away in the heat of his desire. Leaving her wondering just who is in control-and what it is about him that bothers her. When they are forced to face a soul-stealing mage, his secret is revealed.

He is warrior of the feared Dai'Shi-en, legendary for the dark magic that fuels their violence...and their lust.

Warning: Contains hot, sweaty warrior sex, sex in chains and sex in a tent.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
• Just Erotic Romance 3stars 2 flames "…the first encounter between Nerya and Jaden, while he is chained to the bed, is the stuff in which fantasies are made of. Jaden, though captive, is anything but submissive and oozes sex appeal and strength. ..The two then travel together on an action filled adventure with lots of kidnapping, political maneuvering and mostly straight up but heated sex. Before long the line between ruler and slave becomes impossibly blurred. Here the story becomes more focused on adventure, a soul sucking overlord and other various characters… Jaden, however, was keeping interesting secrets that were slowly revealed. That aspect of the story kept me reading…I would have enjoyed the book much more if the emphasis on the main relationship had remained the backbone of Savage Kingdom."

• I Read Romance Rating Three – sexy (good read would recommend to friends) "Savage Kingdom by Deanna Ashford is a journey of two lovers from significantly divergent backgrounds. The plot lines were long and intense… It was definitely an engaging tale…I would recommend the book to those who enjoy fantasy novels about warriors, witches and mages with a heavy dose of romantic sexy love scenes."

Meet the Author

Being born and raised in England fuelled Deanna’s love of history and magical tales, as well as her fascination with writing. Frustrated by books where the action finished at the bedroom door, Deanna wanted far more. Her love of sensual romance led her to write the kind of books she’d always wanted to read. Deanna has a partner and family who are now well used to her eccentricities and the fact that meals do not appear on the table when they arrive home, because she’s upstairs glued to her computer. Savage Kingdom is her sixth published title.
