I LOVED the Titan Series!!!!!! You must the first 5 in order to get all the characters backround for this one. All the Titan men are AMAZING! Their women are great and make them even more Alpha.
Anyway, Rocco's story is one of my favorites! Rocco and Cat's story is full of excitment and twists and turns at every corner. Fighting their own inner battles while fighting the cartel.
They overcome some major obsticles. I hated what happened to Cat, and how that tore Roc apart. I agree with GrammaNancy's review, that I was not sure how I liked the ending.
I didn't think the time warp jump to 20 years made sense because all the other books just jump within a few months. But it was good to see how they turn out in that time frame. I highly
recommend this to all readers who like action, suspense, romance, and a little bit of humor. Cristin Harber is now one of my favorite authors. I can't wait for Nic & Cash's book from when it all began.

Savage Secrets is the latest installment in the Titan Series by Cristin Harber. This one focuses on the relationship between Rocco Savage and Caterina Cruz. Although you would be much better informed by reading the entire series, you may still enjoy the book as a stand alone if you don’t mind being left in the dark on a few details. This book is all about revenge and romance. Savage Secrets is action packed but it also has some very tender moments. Be advised that some of the violence is intense and a lot more brutal than I expected.
On her tenth birthday, Caterina Cruz’s entire family was murdered by a man who would later be known as “The Dog Killer”. He is believed to be so vicious that he not only kills your family, he kills your dog too. Caterina’s life is saved by an American soldier who becomes very instrumental in her quest for revenge. This quest for revenge becomes Caterina’s entire life. As an adult, she becomes a contractor for British Intelligence and she is very, very good at her job. A chance meeting with a disoriented Rocco Savage takes Caterina’s life in an unexpected direction. Their relationship intensifies to a volcanic peak. Eventually, Rocco joins in her obsession to take down the “The Dog Killer”. In addition, they also get tasked with eliminating a terrorist threat.
After reading several installments of this Titan Series, I would have to say that this is the best one so far. It keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. Savage Secrets also ups the ante on the visual imagery so much so that I was taken aback. This book has a lot of depth to it. It shows two people that are meant for each other and endure some intense emotional and physical pain to come out on the other side. You will not be disappointed.

I found this author last fall, I think, and have been hooked ever since. This is a great series, and this book was the best so far. It deals with some delicate issues (a rape), but was told in a way that it was just part of the whole story, not the main part. I loved how Cat persevered through everything that life had thrown at her,and loved Rocco's soft side and how he treated Cat. These books should be read in order to understand how they all tie together. Thanks Cristen for a great addition to the Titan stories - can't wait for the next one. Awesome job!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

4.5 Stars. Not having read any of the other Titan novels, I didn't know what to expect with Savage Secrets, but I was hooked from the opening pages. Cristin Harber manages to weave together an action-packed thriller with an insanely hot romance into a steamy page-turner. I didn't even know that was possible.
Yes, there is a disturbing rape scene and I know some people were turned off by it. But rape happens every day in this country and around the world. Every.single.day. The author neither glorifies nor seeks to gloss over rape. In fact, she's donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book to a rape and sexaul assault survivors non-profit. One of the resources she mentions is After Silence.
The mission of After Silence is to support, empower, validate, and educate survivors of rape, sexual abuse and all types of sexual violence by providing a safe, extensive, reliable and easy-to-read website where victims can find the answers and support they need to heal and reclaim their lives.
Check them out if you're in need of help and if you're not, consider donating to them. They do good work. Important work. Rape is a crime, but talking about it is not.
The plot is basic -- Caterina wants revenge on the man who killed her family when she was ten -- but there are enough subplots that it's almost a relief that the main plot isn't too complex. First, there's the romance, then there's Rocco's secret, and the terrorist plot they need to stop, and apparently there's a lot of backstory on the other characters from the three previous books in this series, but not having read them didn't make this one hard to follow.
The author does a good job differentiating the characters and Rocco is pretty much a straightforward dude. It's one of the things I love about him. He swears, he likes to punch things, is more comfortable in jeans than expensive designer duds, and he's not good at expressing how he feels. By comparison, Caterina is as deep and complex as Rocco is simple. So you know these two are either going to get all hot and heavy or kill each other.
This is an intense, sometimes violent, thriller with lots of heat. It should appeal to women who love a good romance, but also get a kick out of James Patterson and The A Team reruns. Luckily there are three other novels in the Titan series for me to enjoy in the not too distant future.

Another great read in Titan Series! Rocco Savage is 2nd in command in the Titan Group. He's sent on a mission to "play husband" to the beautiful Caterina Cruz. She seems familiar to him, but he can't quite figure out why. To take down a terrorist, who also is the man that murdered Cat's family, they pose as this arms-dealing couple. Their relationship builds from there, Rocco puts the pieces together on the familiarity piece to him, and they encounter all sorts of trouble.
A heads up, there is a rape scene in the book. As 'rape scenes' go, I felt is was written well (as hard as it is to say that). It was difficult to read obviously, but it's not setting me for nightmares tonight.
They are a great couple; there are emotional parts to the book; there's a huge jump (twenty years)in the epilogue. I would definitely recommend the book; it's been a great series. Cannot wait for Roman and Beth!

This was by far the most emotional book in the series so far. Cat and Roc are great together. I really loved how the writer jumped into the future at the end of the story. This book does have 1 particular seen that had my gut clenching in terror for Cat and then an over whelming anger. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.Was this review helpful? First - anyone who reads this needs to be aware of a trigger event in there. Some might consider this a spoiler, I'm sorry, but I think anyone who wants to read this should be aware that there is a rape in this book played out on the pages in vivid, horrifying color. It fits the story, but it's there and some people might react to it. I didn't have a problem reading the scene overall, but I was stunned as I read the brutality. I'm not used to authors being that brave. A big kudos to Ms. Harber for what she puts on the page.
Now, that said, on to the review. I gave this book 5 stars and love it just like I did the other books in the Titan series (I haven't read the novellas and I think I've missed one book). I can't get enough of this series.
The heroine Caterina has had some pretty bad things happen to her and they have formed the core of who she's chosen to become. I like that she doesn't shy away from the fact that she is an interrogator (read here tortures people for information) and isn't ashamed of what she does/has done. It's in the name of ultimately avenging her family's death, and cleaning the blood she feels is on her hands for that death. I like the scars that she carries (not that she has them, mind, but how she deals with them).
Rocco - He's just as badly damaged in his own way and, again, is not ashamed of what he does for a living. I like his absolute love of Cat's accent and how just hearing it is enough to turn him on. This is strangely a case where the insta-lust thing didn't bother me. These two are hot for one another from the first time they meet even though it takes them a bit (not too long) to actually given in to the passion.
These guys are after the terrorist The Dog Killer (the guy comes by the nickname honestly - he was crossed and killed everybody in the family, right down to the family dog) before he can pull of a huge coup and attack Big Ben (or so they think for much of the book). This leads Cat and Rocco to pose as a married couple, where the husband is an influential arms dealer to get close to The Dog Killer (yes, I like the name, heh).
I simply couldn't put this book down and had to gulp it down as fast as I could turn the pages on my Kindle app. Ms. Harber is superb when it comes to her pacing and her passion. Nor does she shy away from potentially sensitive material (the aforementioned rape), and she allows the rape victim to be severely scarred emotionally by it throughout the rest of the book. There is no instant healing of the victim.
Seriously people, buy this book. It's worth it (and, for what it's worth, it pretty much stands on its own even though it's part of the Titan series).
5 stars without a moment's hesitation.

I just recently found this author. LOVED all the ones I have read. All of the Titan group. Two things I am disappointed in tho. 1 - You can not write the author an email - at least I couldn't find a web site for him. 2nd, I was a little upset at the ending of Savage Secrets. Knowing there is another Titan Group book coming out summer 2014.
They flipped thru 20 years. I find that a little strange. LOVED all the books tho.

Wow this book hits so many different emotions. It is a very emotional book with some intense moments. One part was really hard to read but the author brings the story together in such a way you can't wait to see what happens. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Nobody writes military suapence romance like Cristin Harber. Her Titan men are sexy alpha males who fight hard but love harder. Each book in the series is a can be read as a stand alone and she has two novellas. But I highly recommend that you read all of them .
This book is the fourth in the series and the best by far. It start off with intense action and throws you right into the story and keeps you there. I honestly couldn't put the book down. Rocco and Catrina's journey to take down a crime lord send you on a journey with a ton of twist and turns. I honestly never knew what was going to happen next. It's a fun game of cat and mouse when Rocco and Cat pretend to be married to go deep undercover to take down a cartel crime lord. The way Cristin writes her military men and the bad guys they face is so realistic that you are not only drawn into the romance but the action as well. And coming from someone whose not that big on action I got to say, it was one of the best stories I've read. Cat and Rocco help each other overcome some major issues while taking out the bad guy and their love is stronger for it in the end. Five fat stars for this book and I can't wait to read the next in the series.

So amazing! This is book for of the titan series, though there are two novellas that are listed as book for and five for the series. I have read every single one and just purchased the novellas. Why? Because I am absolutely in love with Titan men. Ok. Really I am in love with these military romances and Cristin Harber's writing. Each book could be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend you read them all in order because there are hints as to what happened in previous books in each story.
This book gets right into the action, quickly introducing us to our two main characters, Rocco and Caterina. Their immediate flaws are brought out right away giving us the problems that will affect the entire plot. Of course new problems will be presented as the story progresses. Actually a very big one happens about halfway through the story. I probably shouldn't say this, but I feel it necessary to give you a warning. There's strong sexual content that involves violence. I was rather surprised by these turn off events in the story, but unfortunately I feel like it is very believable when dealing with a woman and international crime overlord. Cristin Harber writes about the violence and military handling of everything very well. I literally could not put this book down. I can't wait to read more.
