Meet the Author

I am a 32 year old wife and working mom to 3 boys, ages 15, 13, and 8! After spending the first half of my life in a small town outside of Philadelphia, PA, my parents moved my brother and I to another small town outside of Greensboro, NC. I moved to Hickory, NC after marrying my husband. We dated a total of three months before getting married, and we’d known each other for a total of six! People thought we were crazy, but 2014 marks our 10 year anniversary, so it obviously worked out!

I’ve always been a huge book lover, even though I hated doing book reports in school! I could never figure out the main idea, but I could quote the book word for word. Back in 2012, I found Fifty Shades, and after staying up all night one Friday to read all three books, I was hooked! I started a book blog, and kept reading everything I could. Then, I found Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines, and couldn’t stop reading. My husband told me that I should write my own book since I was spending so much on Kindle books – by June, I’d read over 500! – and after blowing him off for a few months, I decided to try to write the story I kept seeing in my head.

I had an idea for a story about a girl who’d been raised by her brother, but when I started writing, the brother of the main female kept taking over, to the point I was writing things in his POV instead of hers, so I shelved it, and started writing Save Me From Myself instead. I finally told a few fellow book bloggers about my story, and they started encouraging me to finish it, so here we are! It’s been an absolutely insane ride, and I can’t wait to share these characters with everyone!

    I love when I read a book by a new author and it¿s a well-writt

I love when I read a book by a new author and it’s a well-written and well told story. As a reviewer I read my fair share of books that are great and some that are terrible and a lot of “meh” in between, but I’m convinced that 2014 is going to be a very good year for fiction, because I have been lucky enough to read so many great books this year, and it’s only February! I’m happy to include this book in that sentiment, because I enjoyed it quite a bit!
Lyric has been beat down by past relationships, and she’s never been able to fully appreciate the wonderful things about herself and chose roads that will lead to her happiness. She moves from Manhattan to Nashville in order to escape her past and this is where she meets hunky bartender David (SWOON!). David has had his own share of heartbreak, but something about Lyric draws him in. He wants to get her to trust him, and sets about trying to do just that. But a series of misunderstandings and a few secrets prove to be a roadblock to their happily ever after. Can they make it work and embrace the future instead of letting the past continue to dictate their lives?
First, the absolute best part of this book is David. I mean, he is everything that book boyfriend should be. He makes you lament the fact that if there is a man on this earth that actually exists like him, you should be devastated that you haven’t met him yet! He is great. A gentleman with an ease about himself that screams “confidence!” and man has he got swagger! He’s sweet and gentle, but he has limits and Lyric manages to test those limits! He’s a great character.
The sex in this book is also a big plus. If you’re looking for a panty-melting read, then this is your book. The chemistry between Lyric and David is awesome, and now considered yourself warned that there are some very sexually explicit scenes in this book…oh yes. Yes, there are.
This book is apparently the first in a series about a group of friends, and I will definitely be picking up the next book. This is an engaging read with great characters and great writing. It’s not the most original storyline in the world, but sometimes it’s nice to just pick up a book that is well done and not too challenging. You know what you’re getting into with this one, and I enjoyed it for its simplicity and solid story! 4 stars.

Lyric Hayes has run away from her life in Manhattan. Away from her overbearing family and ex-boyfriend. Away from a past she wants to avoid. She is determined to make a new life for herself in Nashville. The moment Lyric meets David Pearson, sparks fly. But, Lyric has a past. And David has secrets too. Falling in love is easy, but learning to love and be loved is the hard part. Lyric and Davids story was such a refreshing read. I loved that character development was such a huge part of this story. The story is real. It is genuine. I found it easy to read as it is so true to real life. As an avid, reader I look for books to grab me from the first page. You become so engrossed in this story. Your heart goes out to Lyric, with a broken past. You feel for David who's past has made him the person he is today. Two people that did not know they needed saving until they met each other.

Oh. David. You captured my heart the moment we met. I swooned. I loved. David is just the epitome of a good book boyfriend. He is charming, intelligent and loves with every fiber of his being. In this world of bad boys this and that, David proves that the good guy wins, in every way possible. He is a southern gentleman that will forever stay in my heart.

“Lyric I know that you are scared, but baby, you have absolutely no reason to be. I Love you darlin'. More than you possibly imagine.”

Save Me From Myself is a fantastic debut. It's about love and loss. Knowing when to let go and move on. But, also knowing when love comes at the most unexpected times, you don't run from it-you run towards it as fast as you can. The author has the ability to allow you to feel the connection to her characters. You will laugh, swoon, and cry over this story. Such a strong debut for this author. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this series!

I read it in a day

This book was really good. The ex fiance was a jerk off. If I ever found a guy like David I would leg shackle myself to him. Stacy Mosteller just might be a new favorite for me.

4.5 Stars...I love this sexy and awesome new series!!!! I really enjoyed this story. David, oh David why do I have to be married? Anyways, Lyric has had a very rotten time in the romance department. Her ex is truly a one of a kind a**hole and her mother has problems dealing with their break up. I have to tell you while reading this book I was actually talking to the book as well lol... like a friggin sailor! Lyric deserves a good man and enters David *sigh* This man does not exist on our realm ladies or I would have found him ;) Kind, Considerate, sexy, responsible, multi-talented in the ummmm well I'll leave that to the imagination. If you like a feel good love story with some very kick ass steamy against the wall sex, than this story is for you! I know this author has me hooked...
