I write novels. After reading his website, I chose the books due to the author. He seemed like he had something to offer. BOY DID HE EVER!! The most frustrating thing is that when I would go back to edit, I knew something was wrong but couldn't QUITE put my finger on what wasn't right. I have now read all 3 of Blake Snyder's books including Save the cat! goes to the movies. Now I can go back through my work & spot issues. I can see where I need to repair, cut stuff out, etc... I could never use an outline before yet now I can plan out my stories & not find myself at the bottom of the well crying because I've written myself into a corner! Awesome book & I think all writers could benefit plus it's written in such an entertaining way that it's so much fun. Blake entertains even as he teaches in the written word. That's impressive.
