Saving Cervantes took me back, way back, to Brooklyn in the 1960's. This is the story of a lonely man and the woman he falls in love with. She is the "wrong" woman, the woman he should have avoided at all costs but didn't. The author paints a vivid portrayal of an older and simpler time. I really enjoyed reliving the memories of my youth in Brooklyn. The story is suspenseful and told in the best tradition of fine literature. You can't go wrong.

SAVING CERVANTES is a lot different than the other books by Lawrence Kelter. The characters are not as quirky and it is a more serious book.
Aaron Kurtz is a lonely book store owner who falls in love with a prostitute. The story that unfolds about his neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhood is amazing. It is set in Brooklyn in 1969. The author describes the characters so well that you feel their pain and want and suffering and even the ruthlessness of some of the characters. Aaron is literally waiting for a kiss. I won't spoil the story to let you know whether he gets it or not!
