Editorial Reviews

http://rawbooksonline.com/2013/07/09/review-of-saving-dallas-by-kim-jones/ - Mandy Smith
This was a great debut novel. And I’m a sucker for an MC book! Luke & Dallas are great characters. Their relationship moves fast, but in a very organic kind of way. In all honesty, the suspense was giving me a slight ulcer.

Meet the Author

Kim Jones is a writer with big dreams and a creative imagination. Her infatuation with the MC lifestyle inspired her to write a short story about a love affair between a prestigious young woman and a bad-ass biker. After falling in love with her characters, she turned the ten-thousand word short story into a novel. Juggling her writing and her role as ol’lady to her husband, Reggie, her first novel, Saving Dallas, was published in May of 2013. Saving Dallas Making the Cut, the sequel to Saving Dallas, was published in September 2013 and she plans to release Saving Dallas Forever, the final book in the Saving Dallas trilogy, in February 2014.
Kim resides in Collins, MS with her husband Reggie, two dogs Neo and Maggie and a twenty pound cat named Cici.

Lots of highs and lows in this book. It keeps you turning pages. The hot romance doesn't hurt either. I wanted to keep reading at the end.

Grammar mistakes, missing punctuation, and best of all a story line that follows nothing. This author needs to take some time and actually add content, instead of worrying about sex scenes.

    Wtf

I usually love mc romances but there were so many things wrong with this book. First the characters make no sense. Dallas is supposed to be a b**** and Luke caveman possesive, but its never shown in the book. Luke is stupidly jealous about one thing then it happens later on and he doesn't care. Dallas is just whiny and annoying. Second the author uses the wrong words such as wander when its supposed to be wonder. I could live if it only happened a couple times, but that example alone occurs 6 times in 1 paragraph. Also the grammar is absolutely horrible. Someone needs to edit this book bad. Finally there is no rythm and the book seems stilted

WOW! There are no words for this book for me. OK maybe a few, absolutely perfect. As we follow Dallas through major life altering changes and decisions, you will be blown away. She is trying to move past What happened with Frankie and make things work with Luke, he is her life, heart, soul and the air she needs to breath. We meet more club family from other parts of the area and you just have to love Brooklyn. Red is her usual self, tough and yet soft when she needs to be. What happens when Luke has to ask Charlie, an enemy from the past, for help locating Frankie and what Charlie wants had me crying for a happy ending. Can the independent billionaire Dallas learn to act accordingly to be by Luke's side or will she give him up? I am loving Kim Jones' writing style and this series is perfect, what will happen in book 3 (Saving Dallas Forever)? I don't know but I need it now please.

    Fucking loved it!!!

I first started reading it because im from the Hattiesburg, MS area and saw it in the description, but as I got half way through I captured by the story and couldnt put it down. I love how you added some actual things from the area like the Mahognay grill, shenangians, and the glitter boys. All three books were amazing and i read them in two days. Cant wait to read more of your books.

I started not to but this book because of some of the reviews but I'm glad now I didn't let that stop me. I read the whole series ( 3 books) befire writting a review. The books are well worth reading. Some parts of the story I laughted so hard and some pissed me off but I'm glad I read it. Don't read just this one you need the full story.

    Demeaning to womem

I normally love a good biker book and I know that the heroes in those books are usually hot headed caveman types but this pushed the boundaries a little too far. I got less than half way through before I gave up and stopped reading because the storyline made me so mad. Here is this strong willed heroine who doesn't take any crap off of anyone and she gets in a fight with the hero because he treated her like crap for talking to a guy she hadn't seen in years while he was flirting and kissing and hugging every woman in the bar. She was tight to be mad, but then after being in the heroes bed for like 10 minutes, she totally gives in and apologizes for every little tiny thing b/c she's afraid to make him mad b/c she didn't want him to leave her. The story just isn't believable. How can a woman go from strong willed feminist to timid little mouse with one roll in the hay? And they were talking about how a woman is nothing to a biker. That's not true at all. I've dated a biker. Their bikes and their women are their pride and joy. I really liked the story at first but when characters started talking about how women don't matter and that they're just pretty wallpaper, it started getting on my nerves, then the so called hero used his size against her to trap her against the wall so she couldn't walk off away from their conversation. The final straw for me was when it only took one roll in the sheets to break this woman in and make her submit to him even when he was wrong and she had been right. I would've only given it one star b/c of the bad storyline but the author has a good writing style so I had to give her credit for that.

I just finished this book as well as the follow up in the series. I was very impressed with the writing and story line. I got a kick out of the setting because I am from the area.

Cant wait until the third in the series is out.
