Kennedy Cross had her heart broken early in life. It wasn't someone or something who betrayed her—it was her own body. Despite it being all she’s ever wanted, Kennedy will never know what it feels like to feel her baby’s feet kick from the inside out. Having been pronounced infertile at only eighteen, she redirected her life the best way she could.

Eight years and a degree later, Kennedy is one of the most well-loved first-grade teachers at Rock Falls Elementary School. It doesn’t matter that her college boyfriend left her because he wanted children of his own. She has twenty-two of the most gorgeous six-year-olds who adore her and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jackson Steele deals only in extremes. He falls victim to manic episodes lasting for days, sometimes weeks at a time, sending him reeling from volatile highs to devastating lows. It’s a living hell just being inside his own mind, and that hell has taken everything he’s ever loved away from him. But what if, this time, it gives him something? An untimely gift from God and a brunette with legs eight miles long will bring him the most unforeseen joy but also his most challenging of tests.

What happens when circumstances of life threaten the one thing both Jackson and Kennedy love? Saving Steele from himself may prove to be too much for Cross to bear.

Knew the climax was coming but it still broke my heart -- in the best way. So glad that little boy got his happy ending. Excellent author!

I absolutely loved this story. It's so realistic and touches bases with what so many couples go through. Amazing story.

Saving Steele was a quick and easy read for me. The writing is flawless. The story-line captivating. This story took me on a super emotional journey; really pulling at my heart. This story mad me laugh. It made me cry. It made me swoon–boy did I ever swoon. And it made me fall in love. This story was just beautiful from start to finish. Yes, it did have some drama, but the drama worked well with the story, and if anything, it made me love these characters even more. My favorite part was probably the ending. The ending brought tears to my eyes. It was everything and more. To say that I loved this story would be a complete understatement. This book; this story, was utter perfection. It is my favorite work by this author to date and I absolutely can not wait to read more! My full review can be seen at: www.onceuponabookblog.com

A Powerful, Moving, and Sexy novel - "Saving Steele" brought me to tears but was sweet and swoony and took my breath away. I jumped into this series starting with the fifth installment of the series. When I read the Prologue I thought I was in over my head. The entire cast of characters are there, from the previous books with bits and pieces of their stories, but this book is a stand alone novel. Anne Jolin gets you up to speed as the story unfolds - and it unfolds beautifully. The first point of view we get is that of a young boy and we do not hear his POV again until the end. The rest of the novel's point of views alternate between the Hero, Jackson, and the Heroine, Kennedy.. The romance ramps up rather quickly, and the main characters are honest and straight forward about their baggage. The couple is tested greatly by internal and external forces which compels them to grow and strengthen within themselves and with each other. "Saving Steele" is an incredibly moving and romantic novel. I was very pleased that I took the time to read it and the pay off was that I found a new series to enjoy. "Saving Steele" has everything. It is heart wrenching. It is romantic. It is delightfully fun. It is wonderfully sweet. It is also sexy. Anne Jolin gives us a stark view of the battles of Bi-Polar disorder. It also shows the heartbreak of not being able to have children - and how that effects your self worth. The portrayal of Jackson and Ryker dating Kennedy as a package deal is wonderfully entertaining. Jackson is an Alpha Male from the start - no doubt about it. Kennedy finds her strength and protective footing by the end of the novel. I am certainly going to go back and acquire the rest of this collection. Then I need to find an island in order to acquire the time to enjoy them. ;) To read the entire review please visit: http://bit.ly/1KqWVne

3,5 stars. Book 5 in the 'Rock Falls' series. This was a very good read. The characters were well described and even though I haven't read the other books in this series, It wasn't a problem in regards to understanding the storyline. There were some heavy subjects in this book so have tissues at hand!! As a bonus to this great story - the hero, Jackson Ryker Steele, is so scrumptious that I wish I could eat him up! He is sweet, hot and quite the dirty talker. I hope you will give this book a try because it was amazingly good.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Jackson Steele has his friends and his parents and a booming business. When he least expected it, his life was turned upside down not just once but twice within a short time. He is happier than he's ever been. Kennedy Cross loves her life, her very organized life. Teaching children is her passion until the day an adorable new student and his sexy father find their way into her life. All she can think about is how he makes her feel and how she can spend more time with them. This is the 5th book in the Rock Falls Series by Anne Jolin. Each book can be read as a standalone but the characters from the other books make appearances. As with the other books in this series, I loved this book. Jackson Steele is amazingly swoon-worthy, his actions, his words, the whole package. Kennedy Cross is sweet and pure and a little sassy. The writing of this book is engrossing and captivating. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen but I also wasn't ready for it to end.

First let me say that I received a advanced readers copy of Saving Steele a Book 5 in the Rock Falls Series by Anne Jolin in return for my honest book review. OMG! I just finished Saving Steele and I am floored! I can not believe what a mess I am after inhaling this book. I started late last night reading, and continued this afternoon until I was done. Let me say that while this is book 5 of a series, this is actually my very first book that I have read from this author. With that being said this book could definitely be a stand alone book, however there are so many characters that are on the edge of many scenes that I have every intention of grabbing the first book in this series and continue on through them. The characters were so well developed. They were so real. Jackson is a contractor business owner, who gets the surprise of his life when his 6 year old son Ryker he never knew existed shows up on his doorstep. Then when Ryker starts first grade, Jackson gets to meet his teacher, the obsessive post it note, control freak Miss Kennedy Cross. While both Jackson and Kennedy have major life issues that have turned them into the people they are, they find each other and start to build this relationship that includes Ryker. We learn that all there of these characters are flawed, and have wounds that we cant see. Just when you think things are going well, life throws a monkey wrench in. The twists and turns that the novel takes were heart wrenching. This book made me laugh, made me cry, made me nervous, and made me hot! I was so surprised with how easy it was to get sucked in by the authors amazing writing. I can not wait to go back and start the series from the beginning to read more about these characters and this world she has so masterfully created. I also am crossing my fingers that the next book of the Rock Fall Series we can see a happy ever after for Colt. ;)
