Editorial Reviews

Author website - Ann Reviewer
This book was excellent. It had me captivated in suspense from the beginning as the author immediately unveils the psychic power of the Rachel Cunningham, one of the lead characters.

The author does a wonderful job describing people, places and things making it easy for the reader to develop the story in their mind.

This author really knows how to throw in romance and humor as well. 'Be still my beating heart' would describe the romance that develops.

Saving Tampa is an outstanding read. The characters, Rachel Cunningham [psychic] and Hawk Arrons,[FBI Special Agent] are well defined. Mrs. Webnar has done an excellent job on the plot as well--giving us a believable story with no need for suspension of disbelief. It all fit together nicely, and I was impressed. The twists and turns in this thriller keep you turning the pages. I hope to read more of Jo Webnar--an up and coming writer, for sure. This reviewer gives her an two thumbs up!

What if you knew something horrible was going to happen but you could prevent it, would you tell someone? Sure, we all would. What if you saw it in a vision and had no proof? Would you risk your credibility to come forward? These are the questions at the heart of Saving Tampa, an on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller from Jo Webnar.
Romancing the Book - Rachel Reviewer
Saving Tampa is definitely fast paced and full of riveting action. The relationship between Rachel and Hawk that blooms from her vision is amazing. The characters are intertwining and convincing, you will find yourself rotting for them. It is a one-of-a-king adventure that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Review by Marissa: Saving Tampa by Jo Webnar is a highly addictive and fast past novel that you won't be able to put down. It's an exciting story, with elements of terrorism and romance. All her life Rachel Cunningham has the gift (or curse) of second sight. Rachel has always looked at this as more of a curse, her visions are a draining experience, and have always made her feel like a victim. I loved Rachel's gift, and thought she could do wonderful things with it like she did in the book. While shopping at the mall a man bumps into Rachel, and causes the worst vision she has had. She knows that he is a terrorist and plans to kill hundreds or thousands. I really enjoyed the plot of this novel. It is something that is new on the market. Terrorism is something everyone worries about to some degree, and Saving Tampa brings it to life. It will have to on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out if the residents of Tampa will survive. FBI Special Agent Michael (Hawk) Arrons is assigned to keep Rachel safe, and to report any information from visions she might have. Hawk has trouble controlling his temper, and is used to getting things his way, that is until Rachel comes into his life. To me Hawk seemed to really bring the story alive, he brought drama and excitement. Oh and Ralph, Rachel's dog was a wonderful addition. I loved having his so much apart of the story. He reminded me of my dog, so protective and loyal. I loved that he a bit of a beer lush. Ralph rounds out the story perfectly.

Rachel Cunningham is a young woman with a problem. She sees things that are happening, have happened or are about to happen. Her psychic ability has allowed her to help others but it also prevents her from having the kind of quiet normal life she longs for. When a stranger at the mall bumps into her, a connection forms between them giving her small glimpses into a terrorist plot that will kill thousands. Fearful of the ridicule she will face if she comes forward, but more afraid of the cost of her silence, Rachel contacts her brother, a police detective, for advice.

Special Agent Hawk Arrons has his own problems with relationships and one of them is his boss. Threatened by Hawk's investigative abilities, the SAC gives Hawk the worst assignments and downplays Hawk's achievements. When Hawk is given the assignment to interview Rachel, he senses his career is about to take a major hit in the credibility department. After their disastrous first meeting, Hawk checks into the pretty blonde's background and finds that she is the real thing. Reluctantly at first, the two join forces to try to prevent a biohazard attack that could wipe out the State of Florida . As they follow the twists and turns of a terrorist's mind, Rachel and Hawk discover that in Saving Tampa, they are also saving themselves.

Jo Webnar has written a wonderful suspense that is as timely as it is entertaining.

Rachel Cunningham has been gifted with psychic abilities, and in the past she has used them to help police solve crimes. But it has taken it's toll on her. She moved to Florida for peace and to hide in the laidback crowds. This new found tranquility is put as risk when she accidently brushed against a man at the wall. She tunes in to his planning something awful that could result in the death of thousands of innocent people. She knows she can no longer hide from the darkness her powers bring her. Special Agent Aarons of the FBI is less than delighted when Rachel lands before him, and thinks her a crackpot or delusional. Rachel, feeding off his hostility, is not in the best mindset to explain herself and what she fears will happen if they don't listen. However, Aarons attitude changes as the threat is confirmed. He is assigned to work with her, but they then face the attraction growing between them. Rachel's visions increase and they in a race to hunt down the terrorist before it's too late. Webnar give you a sizzling pace and strong characters. Highly recommended

Saving Tampa grabbed me in the beginning and did not let go until the end. I wanted more. *** Rachel Cunningham has a psychic ability, which she has used to help police. She moved to Florida for peace and anonymity, but an accidental touch by a man at mall leads her to fear an awful threat is planned, with death for thousands the intended result. *** Special Agent Arrons of the F.B.I. is not happy about being assigned to interview her, nor is Rachael pleased with his attitude. Before long though, the threat is deemed real and Arrons is assigned to her. The attraction between Arrons and Rachael increases, as does her psychic visions about the terrorists. The more you learn about Arrons and Rachel, the more you root for them to get together. The more you learn about the main terrorist, the more you want him stopped in time. *** Saving Tampa is a fast-paced read, a real page-turner. I enjoyed the main characters, how they developed into people I liked, and especially Ralph, the beer guzzling German shepherd. I hope to read more books like these from the author. Maybe a series with these characters? I highly recommend Saving Tampa.

Saving Tampa by Jo Webnar Saving Tampa is very well written the story is engaging and keeps you on your toes. The story is starkly realistic, and you can really feel the Heroine Rachel's conflict. The Hero Special Agent Arrons is almost immediately endearing. Poor Rachel, has all her life 'seen' things and she 'sees' something major after being bumped by an unsavory guy. I am not normally a contemporary fan but Jo Webnar has turned that around. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author's work.
