This a nice little book that spends the first half giving tips on how to make family gatherings go more smoothly. Easy tips that you can follow, no matter what sort of budget you are limited to. The second half gives a nice basic collection of recipes to try. My favorite theme throughout all 200+ pages is: Remember why you invited these people over---to catch up with family and friends. No one is really going to care if you're not perfect; they didn't come to see your house. As long as you make them feel welcome, that's the most important thing of all.
