sawgrass was an easy read that kept my interest and tugged at my need to know more about the characters and their involvement in the case as well at the envionment in which they lived and worked. this book takes one into the dark realm of murder and its affect on those around us and society as a whole. great job, hope to see more from the author.

Bravo, bravo, bravo! Well written, reads easy and smoothly, holds the readers interest right to the end. Could easily be adapted to TV or the big screen. Very interesting insight into how the real world of law enforcement actually operates, or should I say how it miss-operates.

This 'new boy in town' (Alex J. McDonald) has hit it on his first time out. His insight into people and real life and his ability to 'take you down the trail' and then 'whap' you into another direction is fantastic. I could not put this book down. I don't like murder mysteries or 'cop' stories and this was beyond great. There is an intensity that is rarely seen 'nowadays'. This is a real person who has related the black and white truth. 'Life and people are not always as they appear'. YOU GO BOY!!!! I hope there are more to follow from this writer.
