    Makes Going to the Doctor Easier

    My son loves this book, and is a fan of all Dora stories in general. He is 2 1/2 years old.

    For a long time he was thrilled to see the doctor, but after having to see the doctor twice for stitches, he became scared of going to the doctor's office. This story makes the idea of going back less traumatic. Overall the story is not that well-written (as with most of the Dora series), but he seems to enjoy it.

    Lately he has been migrating toward more Diego stories, which he likes because they include information about animals. I am also pleased to report that he counts in Spanish almost as much as he does in English!

    Toddler tested

    My 3 1/2 old daughter loves this particular Dora book. But she loves Dora & likes doctors, so to her it's perfect. From my pov, it gives clear and understandble expectations for children who may have anxiety about the doctor's office but puts it in the easy-to-relate-to Dora format. Worth the purchase.

    Cute story about a trip to the dr's office.

    We read this story the night before my daughter had to go to the doctor. She's at the age (3) where she has suddenly become very nervous about a lot of things. Nothing really exciting happens in this story, but it does help show kids what to expect at the doctor. For $3.99, it was well worth it to help calm her jitters knowing that Dora doesn't mind going to the doctor.
