The Andersons' caring, practical advice covers all aspects of pet loss, offering guidance on: helping children grieve, honoring your religious beliefs, grieving for runaway pets, helping others know what to say or do to console you, planning an appropriate memorial ceremony or tribute. The book also explores the concept of after-death experiences of departed companion animals and relates many beautiful stories, including the Rainbow Bridge story, that reinforce the love and sense of peace that come from honoring the place animals hold in our lives.

    Just what I needed

It's been over a year since we had to have our sweet little female German shepherd put down due to degenerative mylopathy. I've been struggling with many of the emotional issues discussed in this book, and at times, I've felt like no one understands or cares.

Thanks to the meditations and suggestions in this book, I'm finally allowing myself to accept my grief as normal. If you have ever lost a pet or know that you will be faced with that situation in the future, I recommend buying this book.

It will be a source of comfort, compassion, and caring that you may not find elsewhere as you mourn for your much loved pet.

    POWERFUL!!!

Because of its amazingly impactful writing in this book, having recently suffered a loss, I haven't even been able to get through the book yet, but I know that I will. From what I've read thusfar, I can see the thought, care, compassion, and the work involved in this writing. Beautiful!

    For all pet lovers

This book is great for those of us who cherish our pets as beloved members of our family. It is especially comforting to read, knowing that friends and family who are not necessarily animal people cannot understand what it is like to lose a pet.

Saying Goodbye to Your Angel Animals - 5 Stars

Allen and Linda Anderson never fail to deliver a wonderfully well-written book. This book is no exception. It contains a lot of useful information about dealing with the sadness and grief that anyone inevitably feels upon the loss of a pet. I think the best part of the book is that it offers many different ways to honor your pet's memory and celebrate the life of your beloved pet regardless of your religious or spiritual preferences.
