Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Targeted by undeserved, jealousy-fueled gossip when her husband is killed in a duel, the beautiful, flirtatious Georgia, Countess of Maybury, is intent on reclaiming her reputation and place in the ton. She's also helping scarred former naval officer and new baron Lord Dracy acquire a bit of town bronze, unaware that her father is using her to settle a debt. But even after Georgia's year of mourning, the insidious rumors refuse to die. Dracy then goes on the hunt and finds something further reaching and deadlier than just a spiteful attempt at social ruination. VERDICT A courageous, irrepressible heroine and a strong, uncommonly appealing hero come together brilliantly in another sinfully delectable Georgian romp from Beverley's (An Unlikely Countess) flawless pen. The ever-popular author lives in Canada.

I spent half the book hating the main female character because she was such a brat. She redeemed herself slightly at the end of the book, but still I was not as invested in the characters as I usually am in Jo Beverly's books. I did enjoy the way that they punished the bad guy at the end.

    DIFFERENT PLOT

Interesting plot and quite informative. Wish there was a bit more passion between the main characters Dracey and Lady May. LORRAINE

    Romance in earlier times- fun!

If you like romance, you should enjoy this book. I have enjoyed books written by Jo Beverley in the past. This is one of her better ones.
