Meet the Author

The author of several Regency Noir Romances, Ava Stone first fell in love with Mr. Darcy, Jane Austen and Regency England at the age of twelve. And in the years since, that love has never diminished. If she isn't writing Regency Era romance, she can be found reading it.

Her best-selling Scandalous Series is filled with witty humor and centers around the friends and family of the Machiavellian-like Lady Staveley, exploring deep themes but with a light touch. A single mother, Ava lives outside Raleigh NC, but she travels extensively, always looking for inspiration for new stories and characters in the various locales she visits.

Together with Tammy Falkner, Ava makes up 1/2 of the Lydia Dare Paranormal Regency writing team.

    Highly Recommended

I just read this book and all I can say is wow! I am excited about discovering a new author with an exciting distinctive voice. The character of Alex has automatically become one of my all time favorite hero's and that saying a lot! I thought the love story between he and Olivia was tender and passionate. I love when a man is not afraid to show his feelings and still be incredibly sexy and passionate. Do not miss out on this author or this book!

    Entertaining and Enjoyable

This was a delightful read. Kelfield is one of my favorite characters now. I enjoyed every moment as his world was turned upside down with the added insult of being rejected, for the first time in his life. And Olivia was a delightful character, holding onto promises and dreams of the past as she tries desperately to deny her desire for Kelfield. I can't wait to read the rest of the books written by Ava Stone.

    more from this reviewer

    If you like bad boys...

...you'll like the Duke of Kelfield. He is a bad, bad boy. I loved him. But if you prefer good boys like Dudley Do-right, you probably won't like this book.

Kelfield is a complicated character and I was very glad to see things through his eyes so I could understand him better. It made me love him all the more. Despite his bad boy persona, he truly did have a heart of gold.

Olivia is very sweet and I liked her a lot. But I'm very jealous that she gets to keep Alex and I only got to read about him.

    Great book.

I came across this auther and decided to give her a try since i like my cocky duke and rouge's. This was a good read. only thing for me was the love scenes were not great. They were lacking.they had sex all the time but with verry little detail. The book would have been perfect if not for the love scenes. I will try another book and hope that the next book has more passion...
