Meet the Author

Glenn Keitel was born in Chicago, Illinois. He majored in electrical engineering (BSEE and MSEE, University of Washington; PhD, Stanford University) and pursued post-graduate studies in radiophysics at Cambridge University, England. In his professional career, he was an engineer and manager in industry, a liaison scientist with the U.S. Office of Naval Research (London), a faculty member and administrator at several universities, and an independent computer consultant. His interest in art developed at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA), first by observing his wife's volunteer work as a docent there and then by taking the docent training himself. He has been a docent at the MIA for fourteen years.
