Billy Williams spent years in the post-production of music videos and TV commmercials, and in the writing of music. He has five children and an eleven-year-old grandson. He has a very happy life, both in South Florida and Eastern Pennsylvania.
Billy sold his film editing company when he turned fifty-five. The next year, he was elected into the Film Editing Hall of Fame. He's one of only fourteen to have received that award. He grew up in Brooklyn, so most of Schmitty Love is autobiographical. The characters were all people he knew, with the exception of Schmitty O'Hallorhan. He was fictional.
