    Helpful for Early Readers

This workbook presents basic words and repeats them often enough that a young student will see them several times and write them. There are words where the student just needs to fill in one letter to complete the word. There are some art activities using colors and designs in the book that capture student's attention and interest, involving the sight words. I recommend this workbook for students from K - 2 who are struggling with learning to read. The teacher or tutor should work the pages with the child as much as possible to check things like word attack skills, pronunciation, sounding out words, and word meaning, although certainly the student can do some of the pages on his own.
