Purpose: The authors wish is to provide the most current knowledge on the biology, techniques, indications, and complication management for intramedullary nailing.
Audience: The audience is orthopedic surgeons, although operating room nurses may find it helpful.
Features: The most distinguishing features are its comprehensive technique-related illustrations of all current nail products on the market.
Assessment: I highly recommend it for all training program libraries. Even the experienced trauma surgeon will find it a valuable reference and learn some new insights into intramedullary nailing. I know I did.
