Overview

The 100-year-old book that inspired Rhonda Byrne's bestselling The Secret

  • Live your dream
  • Acquire wealth
  • Learn a proven method for success
  • Access your inner strength
  • Realize your potential

Rediscover the original version of Wallace D. Wattles's 1910 classic,
The Science of Getting Rich--the forerunner of every personal finance and self-help book ever written. Explore the principles that have shown generations of readers the way to riches and fulfillment in life.

"The book, as it turns out, is about getting rich - not only in terms of money but in every possible way, including relationships and health. As I read, it became clear to me that what Wattles was presenting was actually the science of life. He wrote The Science of Getting Rich in 1910 for the coal miners in his area, so the book is quite short and the language is simple. He doesn't get into philosophies or theories. He doesn't explain why or how it works. He just says, 'Do what I say and your life will completely change.'"

I appreciated the knowledge contained, although I knew most of what was written beforehand, the essentials contained definately served it purpose. If you plan to be successful in life (financially), this book can get you there if you simply just apply the simplified instructions as enlisted, most are common sense so nothing to intellectual here.

I have been a huge Think and Grow Rich fan for more than twenty years but was blown away by Wattles' Science of Getting Rich. I highly recommend it and feel it has expanded the concept that 'we become what we think about'. It is however driving me crazy that I recognize the narrators voice but can't place him. Can anyone help?

Was a little abstract , but drives the point home and gives you a plan somewhat like think & grow rich -

It was a very good book, but you need to recognize that it was written 100 years ago and remember the time period it was written about. There were some mistakes in the beginning, but later in the book I can see mistakes were corrected.

Period. Every three words. I can barely. Even read. It. No financial advice. To be found. If you read the book, you'd understand the above statement...but still be confused financially.

A very good version of the classic book, simple photographs in a few areas enhance the text, and the unabridged text is true to what the author intended. Great work from all the rest.
