From Barnes & Noble

This 384-page anthology collects half a dozen entries in Walker's popular Wooden Books series. As the subtitle suggests, the topics cover the mathematical and physical formulas that govern existence as every level from the tiniest microbes to the remotest galaxies of the universe. Like each of its individual components, Sciencia contains engravings and woodcuts of original drawings and diagrams in thirteen colors. An offbeat, elegant gift.

    Amazing

For the beginning scientist or for anyone with an interest in science, this book is an incredible look into all things scientific,, an amazing introduction. I bought it for my 14-year-old daughter and she is devouring it. I have found it interesting to browse through as well: not enough information to overwhelm, but just enough to invite more reading and study and questions.

    Can't get better than that.

Makes one curious as to just what is meant by "Sciencia".

Excellent Exposition of the rudiments of the Sciences. The detail and drawings are maverlous. For those of us not necessarily "Scientific" this book provides what I think is a wonderful explanation of what Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and others are bascally all about.
I heartily recommend it to those curious about "Existence".
