An answer to some previous reviews: Yes, it does do exponents (x^n) use the ^ key. Yes, it does do any root (use the sqrt(x) key, i.e. the one with the radical with an x under it, then enter the root in the (). No, it doesn't have a 1/x key, but if you were in engineering school you should know other ways to do that (try 1/tan(x)). This really is a great calculator that can do pretty much everything a $15 scientific calculator can do. You just might have to take the time to learn to use a calculator before you dis it.

This one sucks. How do you promote this as a scientific calculator without a 1/X key? I'll look for a better one. You should too.

I,ve never seen a calculator that has an actual factorial button on it. It,s always had like a npr or ncr and stuff like that. THIS IS SO AWESOME. By the way the little arrow thing pointing up on the top of the screen near the plus and minus sign and stuff is the exponent button. So if you wanna write, say 2 to the 5 th power you would put 2^5 and hit enter.

The decimal point must be hit repeatedly in order to work.
When you finish a calculation, you must hit clear before inputting another number. If you do not, the number will be added onto the end of the previous answer.

Waste of money! Calculus... really??!! Maybe if your only dealing with Hyperbolic functions... forget about derivatives or integrals. I could use a graphing calculator.

...for those who have seen, used one before, and are familiar with math functions, unlike some of the commenters here. This app is absolutely worth the .99 I paid for it. Installation was a breeze. It works as advertised.
Yes, this little calculator does divide, multiply, and even does 1/x, as well as EXP. If you really went to engineering school, figuring it out should be walk in the park.
I wish B&N deleted bogus ratings from people looking for tech support, and/or haven't purchased the app.

Easy to use algebraic entry scientific calculator. Definitely not a reverse Polish notation (RPN) calculator. It uses the "enter" key as an equals sign. Use the up arrow to enter base 10 style scientific notation. Easily worth the money.

I hope that "engineering student" finds out soon that 1/X is X to the minus one power before he flunks out.... For example, 1/3 is calculated as 3^-1. If you don'need a scientific calculator, don't get this one. Otherwise this a great calculator.

As with others, I miss the reciprocal function, but what I really missed is the rectangular/polar conversion function that ALL my other calculators have. Complex impedance, anyone?
