Scornfully Yours by Pamela Ann is the first novel that's captured my undivided attention in a long time. I've read a handful of good books lately, but it's been a while since I've picked up a novel that sucked me in from the first page and made me stay up all night long just so I could read the very last page. My initial game plan was to read a chapter or two before bed tonight, but I ended up staying up all night so I could finish this novel. Needless to say, Scornfully Yours is an addicting ro

Good story, but chunks missing fron the ebook copy

At first it was just the different chapter quotes, but very shortly I got to a spot where 5 whole pages were messed up. You just can't follow a story like that. I tried archiving and retrieving with no success, just in case. Her storyline was interesting, but if you are an avid reader it will take a lot to get over the many grammatical errors and the immaturity of the characters for their supposed ages. The perfection of the characters also really stretched your belief in them. Everyone is gorgeous with no flaws. Everyone also swears worse than a sailor on shore leave. I found the swearing very distracting and very dragging to the story. There was no benefit to it, so why? I don't think I will waste my time with anything else from this author for a long, long time and I would not buy this book again

    Good read

I was hoping when it said torn series it was going to be a full book and the next book in the series will be a different characters story, like lindsay for example. That is not the case it has a pretty decent triangle going, I honestly can't see her back with Carter but that's where it seems to be heading. Not sure if I will buy next part I don't like these kind of series but time will tell.

    Overpriced

Intriguing bad boys, decent story. With that being said, wish i had read sample first. First few chaps emma sounds like a valley girl. Author couldnt get tenses right. Was very surprised she used any type of editor. Plenty of inaccurate sentences and words used in wrong def. Trying too hard to use more complicated words. Read if bad editing does not bother you from enjoying a story. Dialogue is also unrealistic.

A lot of women can relate to Emma's pain. Fall in love with a star athlete that everyone wants, but he himself has point blank told her he
doesn't "do" love or relationships. I can see where Bass would intrigue her since she meets him the day after her break up with Carter.
She is immediately attracted to Bass and he to her. However, since she is still in love with Carter, Bass will not even kiss her until he is the
only one. After Emma is cast in a movie with Bass, things heat up even more. Off the charts HOT!

The language is almost comical, come on first year college student do not use words like, enchanting, exquisite and charming especially when talking about sex. Emma never mentions an interest in acting until she's offered a part in a movie, then the author writes like it was her lives dream. Emma is really a la-de-dah (emphasis on DAH) kind of girl. The author didn't really think this book through, she's all over the place. And the sex is not hot but gross. I could go on and on....

    Garbage

I hate when women are portrayed as weak minded and no self respect. Will not be continuing with the rest of the series.

    Loved It!!!!

I really loved this book can't wait to see what happens next I really hope Emma picks Bass I like Carter he's sexy but that's as far as it goes he is just to damn cocky it's annoying and in true typical male fashion he doesn't want Emma until someone shows some interest I know the heart wants what it wants but the question you really have to ask yourself is can you live with not having him emotionally and only sexually I'm hoping for every women who has ever been through this crap she makes the smart choice. Team Bass all the way.
