So many people have hundreds of photos lying around they never do anything with. Many of them never even make it into photo albums! So why not make a scrapbook out of them? Scrapbooking Like a Pro is a fabulous book for the scrapbooker, new or old. I've done quite a bit of scrapbooking in my life and I must admit, this is a very interesting read. This book will explain to you about the different basics of scrapbooking, such as themes and the different mediums used in scrapbooking. It is very good at explaining how to layout a good scrapbooking page based on themes, how to crop your photos, and how to glue them to the page. It also explains how to use different embellishments, such as glitter, stickers, trinkets, die-cuts, and so much more. This book goes into in-depth explanations about not just basics, but how to do more advanced scrapbooking techniques such as faux stitching, how to create your own transparencies, how to create your own flowers, and more. Another really good thing about this book is that it actually tells you how to turn your hobby into a business by having scrapbooking parties. Overall this was a very nice and condensed explanation of scrapbooks and even as a scrapbooker, I learned a couple new tips and tricks that I hadn't considered before. It would be a fantastic purchase for anyone who is interested in getting into scrapbooking.

This book is a great starter for anyone interested in scrapbooking. It covers basic design principles, how to organize photos, how to crop them, how to add embellishments, create transparencies, rub-ons, etc. There are also many layout ideas to help spark your own creative juice. Examples and pictures included in the book are very helpful as well. The glossary section helped me to learn those scrapbooking terminologies. Overall I think this book is a good buy.
