In the tradition of Stitch 'n Bitch, a collection of humorous essays about America's obsession with scrapbooking

Scrapbooking leads to deeper love, better health, perfect kindness, universal peace, a clearer complexion, and material wealth. Or so says Wendy Bagley, the witty author of Scraps: Adventures in Scrapbooking. Scraps is a hysterical collection of essays celebrating this outrageously popular hobby in all its glory.

True "Scrapaholics"—a.k.a. Crop Queens, Photo Fiends, and 35-millimeter Mamas—will rejoice to see themselves reflected in the pages of this one-of-a-kind send-up. Overflowing with helpful hints ("Successful scrapbooking is one percent inspiration, eighty-nine percent perspiration, and ten percent snack food.") and aspirational wisdom (see the chapter titled "World Peace Through Scrapbooking"), Scraps is the perfect gift for the scrapbooking Mom who has everything.

    Scraps: Adventures in Scrapbooking

Very amusing essays. Bagley's is really funny when she writes about mothers who can't get it together enough to scrapbook and she's even more amusing when she writes enviably about women obsessed with the hobby. My husband read this book after I read one too many parts out loud to him.

    Scraps: Adventures in Scrapbooking

This book is way overdue! Its essays are poignant, amusing, and the author comes across as if you are her best friend. Bless this book for getting me off the hook for not being the perfect mother, sister, friend, person. Very funny, very good.

Scrap and the world laughs with you

This is a must read for anyone who owns a pair of scissors. I wouldn't touch a scrapbook supply with a ten foot pole, but I've laughed hysterically at Bagley's wit. She cuts to the quick like it's lacey construction paper! Run, don't walk, run (but not with the scissors) and buy this book.

    An enjoyalbe, worthwhile read

I purchased this book for a few laughs (recommended by friend), I don't scrap, but enjoy what my scrapping friends have done - however, not only did this book make me laugh, it also got me interested in seriously considering to create my own scrapbook.

    A GREAT STRESS BUSTER

I very much enjoyed reading this book and as a scrapbooker I could relate many of the stories. I was in volunteer training for the Red Cross when someone suggested this book. After dealing with alot of sadness this book gave me something to laugh about. I have now read thru it several times and find something new each time. Life is made up of many emotions, when ever I need a pick-me-up I will pick up this book. I see that this is Ms. Bagley's first book. I certainly hope she is busy writing the next.

Utterly enjoyable - smart, witty read.

I purchased this book at the recommendation of a friend. I thought it would be light 'bathroom' reading, but ended up immediatley promoting it to my coffee table! I sat and read it in one sitting and my husband, wondering why I was laughing so much started reading it as soon as I was willing to put it down. I'm not even a scrapper.
