Overview

Can love be found in the arms of a kidnapper?

Running away from a complicated life, Raleigh finds herself plunged into a nightmare. While hitchhiking across the country, she and her companion are struck by a car. Her friend is killed but Raleigh survives and her life is thrown into the hands of the three men involved in the accident. Bruised and in shock, Raleigh is locked in the basement of their remote country house, unsure of her fate.

Kaden, one of her captors, is handsome and at times protective, and he convinces his friends to spare Raleigh’s life to ransom her. But the safety he provides is only from his friends, and Raleigh must face his sinister intentions. Agreeing to become his lover in return for continued protection, she begins to see a tender and caring side of Kaden despite their short but violent history. As the ransom payment begins to unravel and Raleigh's life hangs in the balance, she wonders how much she can trust Kaden. Are the feelings she has developed for him genuine or a result of her situation? Does he truly care for her, as he claims, or does he just see her as a ransom payment?

HOLY SHENANIGANS!! I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars.... 500 might do the trick! :) This book was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!!!!!! Quite possibly was of my favorite of all time!! I loved all of the characters and felt the author did a great job portraying them. One of the reasons I truly loved this book was because the main character, Raleigh, is such a strong person. She was fantastic and although (small spoiler!!!) I'm not deaf, I felt it was so easy to relate to her. And Kaden.... I had a love/hate relationship with him but overall love wins out! And although it is such a sad and tragic story there wasn't a single second I wasn't completely hooked. Just shy of 500 pages and I read it in almost one day only stopping 50 pages to the end so I would could finally sleep! Lol!

It's an amazing book if you're thinking about reading it DO IT! You won't regret I can promise you that! I'm forcing a friend to read it just so we can talk about it!

A love story with blurred lines

This was a great book. There were times I felt Kaden should have stepped in more with Rays anger. I was grateful there was no stronger emotions sooner. Some books like these seem unrealistic with how fast a bond blossoms. I was happy to this this ebook also has the epilogue which was originally not written. I saw B&N was also selling the epilogue separate for 99 cents. The story was plausible with great ending along with justice.

Wow, this book was so good! I was a little iffy at first but as things progressed I was drawn to Raleigh's character! I dislike Kaden at first and then he really grew on me. I am so glad the epilogue came with this book. I don't think I could've endured the open ending. And I LOVED the epilogue!

This book is sorta a dark romance but it is a romantic story that I really loved. Think I'll be re-reading this one again and again. This author is so good writing emotions that I really 'felt' everything Raleigh was feeling. Excellent, excellent work! Kudos!! -- lorraine

    A great read!!

After reading the reviews I had to see what this book was about. I experienced so many different emotions throughout the book, but I am happy with the way it ended. Disturbing, but its reality. About the typos, who cares. I'm not reading a book to belittle someone about typos, or incorrect sentences. I want a good story and can over look mistakes. Doesn't make the story any different. Get over it!

    Suspenseful

The sign of a good story to me is when I can't seem to put the book down- I need to know what happens next and this is one of those stories. I was worried about Raleigh's fate and had no trust at all for Kaden. The author did a good job with her inner turmoil and her mixed emotions. I thought the ending was very well done. Definitely would read more by this author.
