When Books and Brew regular Elias Clark offers her a Screaming Orgasm, she wishes it was the sexual variety rather than a lousy drink. She’s been lusting after Elias forever and suspects he could bring all her naughty, kinky fantasies to life. Elias has resisted his attraction to Jayne for years, assuming his dominance in the bedroom would send the sweet, romantic woman running for the hills. Or would it? Alone in a snowstorm, Elias tests the waters and is blown away by Jayne’s innate submissiveness and eagerness to stretch her boundaries. Ice play? Bondage? Flogging? Bring it on. Soon it’s no longer a question of whether or not Elias should pursue Jayne, even if she’s not sure she’s brave enough to submit to him forever. She’s made for him, and this determined alpha male will stop at nothing until he’s claimed her—completely. A Romantica® BDSM erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

    Awful

    ## This book was awful. Generally I like everything Ms. Carr writes. The first 3 in the series were extraordinary. I adored them. This one, not so much. It just made me mad. Dom/sub my ass. Elias was an overbearing jerk. And I found Jayne to be a complete doormat. There was no development to their relationship at all. Just wham, bam, done. The way she loved his dungeon where he had sex with countless other women? Yuck. And then he tells her "I want to strap you down and let other men touch you", ugh...that just screams whore to me. I found nothing remotely sexy or romantic about this book. Can't recommend.

Review originally posted at Romancing the Book

Screaming Orgasm is the fourth book in the Cocktales Series by Mari Carr. This book can be read as a standalone without any confusion. I chose this book because I have read Mari Carr before and have enjoyed all her stories.

Jayne has been lonely for a long time and has not been able to break out of the funk she has been in. Watching her three friends fall in love has added to the loneliness that has been plaguing her.

Elias has been attracted to Jayne for a long time. He did not know how she would react to what he needs in the bedroom. Therefore, he never approached her.

The chemistry is off the charts between these two characters. Its hard to believe that it took this long before they got together. The sex scenes were explosive.

There is nothing that I would have changed about this story. While I am not a fan of short stories any longer and it would have watered down the story. Overall, this was a wonderful story. While I did not read the other books in the series before now, I will be picking them up shortly.

    Amelia

She plopped down on a couch. "What do you want to do?" She said in her Scottish accent.

“SCREAMING ORGASM is the perfect story to steam up a lazy summer afternoon.” ~Under the Covers

Come on, admit it! You want to pick this up for the name alone! That’s what happened to me. I haven’t read any of the books in this series before and although I usually prefer to read in order I had to make an exception here.

The first thing I did was… I had a screaming orgasm. No, really. The drink! The recipe is the first thing you read! And it’s delicious! Then I settled in to read and OMG it was hot from the very beginning.

Elias is a Dom, a little bit older, a little bit more set in his ways of how he likes things. He’s apparently wanted Jayne for a while now, the only woman that he could see being a part of his world for something more than a sexual interlude, but he had his reasons to stay away.

Now that all her friends are getting married and finding happiness, he decides it’s time to show her how perfect they would be for each other. Only thing he has to do is get past her hang-ups that she’s not a submissive. Or at least she thinks she’s not a submissive for more than a fling.

This book was hot, hot! But it was full of emotion from the beginning. Elias goes into their relationship knowing he wants more with Jayne. Knowing he wants her forever. I love when the guy has to work to bring the heroine around to his way of thinking. I think some of their relationship building was probably done in the previous book and to me, I took it as backstory. It was their final coming together moment,.

I also think the group of friends around them are a ton of fun and definitely I’ll go back and read their stories!

SCREAMING ORGASM is the perfect story to steam up a lazy summer afternoon. Even if you haven’t read the others in the series, you should give it a try!

    Short!

I was looking forward to this, the last in the series. It was good, but entirely to short! Less than 100 pages. Disappointed.
