All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Finnish goth rockers His Infernal Majesty's seventh studio album was built around one of pop music's most ubiquitous themes: heartache. Breakups have been throwing artists into alternating fits of feverish work and hopeless despondency since time immemorial, resulting in both great works and self-absorbed descents into bloated narcissism. H.I.M.'s penchant for melodramatic late-'80s and early-'90s melodic alt-rock in the vein of New Model Army, Dream Theater, and Mission UK serves as an efficient vehicle to deliver the primal scream that is heartbreak. I Also Recommend:

    Buy This Album!!!!

This album is a bit off the normal path for HIM, meaning a tad more pippy than fans may be used to, but absolutely amazing nonetheless. All but one song is under 3 minutes and the ones song that isn't is only 4 minutes 1 second. My personal faves are tracks #11- Acoustic Funeral(For Love in Limbo)and track #13- The Foreboding Sense of Impending Happiness. They are so skilled at what they do, and this album showcases just how talented they are!!! I was actually fortunate enough to just see them April 5 in Pittsburgh, and let me tell you, Mr. Valo's voice is as beautiful live as it is on the records. The band itself was far better than I could have ever imagined. Just so on point with every note and beat... I was amazed!!! If you haven't listened to this fantastic group, please give them a chance. You will be happy you did so!!! Let's make HIM a world wide phenom. Request them on all the stations and petition MTV and VH1 to start playing their videos. These guys deserve the airtime they are being denied.

best H.I.M album since "razorblade romance"

if your looking for good music that has a heavy beat and awsome guitar licks but still has some soft lyrics you know for the ladies then H.I.M's sreamworks:love in theory and practice is for you it has all you need to just chill and jam out "HEARTKILLER" is the first single off the album it's the perfect song to just chill and hang out to so when you go to b&n pick up screamworks and enjoy and while your at it pick up any other H.I.M album.
