    Are you kidding me?!

This book was fine, I bought it for my 5 year old. He loves it, until he got about half way through and asked me why it said to "Draw a Dead Person" and next to the box the illustrator was kind enough to draw a dismembered body. Totally unacceptable! The back of the book says "to spur creative thinking" "perfect for doodlers ages 3-99". Well I don't want my 3 or 6 year old being asked to draw death, nor look at a "doodled" body with its intestines hanging out. B&N should take this off the shelves.

    I Also Recommend:

    Let the drawing begin!

Great activity for promoting creativity. I use drawings similar to these in my Kindergarten class and the kids really grab onto them. The drawings are so simple that the user doesn't feel intimidated by his/her own drawing ability (or lack thereof, in my case!) It starts you off with a picture that has been drawn but something is missing and the title of the picture tells you what to do to finish it. How you finish it and what you do with it is completely up to you - the user is given creative license to draw. There is no right or wrong answer! Great book for a car trip, waiting somewhere, or just for fun.

    These coloring books rule!

I have a 4 year old and a 9 year old (both boys) and we will color in these books together for HOURS. They are so much fun. I have never seen such cool coloring books in my life. I recommend them to every kid (and parent!) out there. SO creative.
