    Excellent book!

This anthology by Fieser and Power, as well as its companion volume, Scriptures of the East, is a very helpful book. The selections are representative of the religions and just long enough to be fair. The authors also include pieces that highlight the role of women in the specific religions. An introduction to each religion, a glossary . . . who could ask for more? Well, okay, it doesn't have pictures. I use this book in conjunction with a textbook (mine), but it could possibly stand by itself.
