    OUTSTANDING!!

I love this book!! I bought it a year ago and I have since used it, religiously!! There are pictures and explanations of many different lifts and designed workouts for different levels of fitness. I really enjoyed reading this and I often consult it to provide variation in my workout! I have been successful in meeting my goals with this purchase(weight loss and strength development). This book is definitely worth more than I paid for this a year ago!

A must have for the fitness enthusiast!

This book is thorough and easy to follow. It's nice to be following a program where you know the results you'll get and has the plan laid all out for you! I am starting my 5th week on the program and noticed changes in my body immediately! It's not a quick-fix but shows you enough consistent improvement to keep with it! I'm excited to reach the next level! Thanks Brad!

    Fitness for everyone

I lost 75 lbs 7 years ago and have kept it off with the help of this book. Unlike Atkin's and South Beach and all of those 'systems,' this one is not a 'diet' book. It instead presents the basic facts of how your body works, metabolises, and processes nutrients, what your body is doing and using when doing various exercises (it includes sections on cardio/aerobics as well as weights and circuit machines) and leads you to your own conclusions, while also giving you definite pointers and tricks to losing weight and keeping it off. It's chocked full of REAL information - none of the hyped stuff others try to sell you to sell some 'system' or pill. It's real tried & true fitness information, stressing good technique with the goal of making fitness a fun and daily part of your life. It's well researched, easy to read, easy to follow, and very logical and explained in terms everyone can 'get.' Don't get swept by some fad-diet - get a real fitness book with real time-honored methods and time-honored results, and answers to all the questions you've had and myths you've heard.

A personal trainer in a book

Simply put, this book has everything possible you need to know about strength training without the frills. Finally, something that tells me exactly what I need to do at the gym, how to do it, and when!

If you can only buy one fitness book, buy this one.

This book is my fitness bible. It's the one book that I would recommend to any woman who wants to maximize her physique. I purchased the book because I had read multiple articles in fitness magazines praising the author. The layout of the book is straight-forward. Prior to describing the exercise routines, the author provides an in depth review of the principles and techniques behind the workouts. The remaining chapters are devoted to specific muscle groups and include detailed explanations of routines as well as photographs of each exercise. I use this book to plan my workout routines and often carry it to the gym to use for reference. Even if you are a novice, this book will teach you the proper form and technique for strength training and will help you to vastly improve your physique in a matter of weeks.

    This book is great

I love this book. It keeps me motivated and I loked at the fitness models websites and they tell you how they eat what to eat to get the body they have. Very informative!!! Wished they talked more about cardio.
