I had never heard of Rafael Sabatini before. However, when I was browsing for a good book, I had spotted Captain Blood. I wasn't exactly sure how it would turn out, but I decided to give it a try. It was surely worth it! The imagery, the language and the setting Sabatini uses truly captivates the reader! As soon as I had finished Captain Blood, I couldn't wait to find another book by Sabatini. Soon enough I discovered The Sea Hawk and it was even better than Captain Blood! What caught me more with this book was the betrayal that the characters exhibited in this book against the main character, Sir Oliver Tressilian. Oliver's actions and the choices he makes to exact revenge on those who wronged him really make the reader feel sympathy for him. Also, Sabatini writes in a way to make the reader see all sides of the story and not just side with the main character and the events that follow in the tale. The fears, the doubts and the weaknesses the characters feel in this book are ones that all humans feel, it's almost a little difficult to remember that they are only fictional. The way Sabatini describes the characters and their emotions in this book makes them seem much more real and complex as actual true human beings. The brutality in this book is a little severe, however it gives off a real-world feeling to it. This truly is a book that will bring you into its world. I highly recommend it.

The story is great, but this edition is a mess. Most of the "w's" aren't translated as "w," and there are random page and paragraph breaks. Not to mention all the other random letters that aren't properly translated, like "h" becoming "li" and vice versa. All those errors make for a tough read.

Very well written book. I had a hard time putting it down. Was a little hard at times to understand with the errors and misspelled words but was really captivating. Totally worth reading. would give 5 stars if not for the errors.

"Russel Wilson has been impacting the Seahwks by making the best decisions. He knows when to throw and their winning 28-17. We have 6:00 minutes remaining. 3rd and 2." The announcer said. [Nitro POV] "Russel their's a spy on ya be careful if you run it." I said through the headset. I watched from the sidelines. I'm the backup i'm supposed to help him and point out a few things just like regular QBs. And he's running the ball. There he goes ,I thought and..... and..... he-he-he's injured. [Announcer POV] "Russel Wilson has broke his wrist. And it looks like the backup is gonna come in. Nitro Ultima the back-up QB.
