MESSAGE FROM THE AUTHOR:
As a teacher, I have an incredible opportunity to see the impact books can have on the lives of children. Along with developing their reading skills, books help inspire their imaginations. Children can discover new ideas, learn valuable lessons, and dream of new goals with the help of a great book. It is so important to surround them with good stories so that they grow to be effective learners and solid citizens.
I strongly believe that reading quality books is essential in the life of a child, and that belief was my guide in writing The Sea Shack. I aimed to write a story that not only helped children become stronger readers, but also better people. I am proud of this book and confident it will be treasured by anyone who reads it. I thank you for making it part of your library and wish you the very best.

My best friend, Ashley, brought The Sea Shack to my house when she slept over and we stayed up all night reading it because it was so good. Ashley was in Mark McNulty's fourth grade class, and that is the only reason I have even heard of this book. It is so GOOD- read it or else! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I bought this book for my son after meeting the author at a book signing. He had a long line of customers and had sold out of his book but took a moment to talk to me and say hello to my son. We bought his book when the store had it in stock again and my son loved it! I decided to read some myself and I wound up reading it cover to cover. I am 37 years old and it was more enjoyable than most of the adult-level books I read! You really grow attached to the characters and the story had a nice mix of humor, love, family values, and even some nostalgia. I am glad I read this book because it was a real summer treat for me. I will be looking for more books by this young author in the future! I strongly recommend 'The Sea Shack' to anyone, young or old, looking for a great book to read. Was this review helpful?
