I loved the main character, along with several others in the story. This was one of the best murder mysteries I have read, will keep you speculating up until the end. Would have given it five stars, but the vulgar language turned me off.

Lots of individual stories among the different characters. Wish there had been more explained about Helen and Hunters relationship. The ending left you a hanging. All and all I liked it.

This book was definitely another hit in the Hunter Rayne series. I've enjoyed each of the books in the series I've read, so far.

Sea to Sky is the name of a highway in Oregon. The truckers in this story drive it. A man ends up dead, having been killed and dumped off a ski lift. Several truckers swap runs on the truck. It seems at first as though this will be an exciting story, but I felt that it fizzled out. I think I will skip any other books by this author, and don't recommend it for book club discussion.

Hunter Rayne is a terrific character who retired from the RCMP to become a truck driver in Canada. I guessed wrong about who the lkiller was. Great puzzle.

Enjoyed his first book better. In this one he used multiple story lines (murder, family relationships and teenage angst). The murder line was the best developed and most interesting.

I simply loved how R.E. Donald wrote this book. I usually picked out "who done it" way before half way through the book. In Sea to Sky however I was surprised. I thought once it was that person, but dismissed the idea and put the blame on another person. This book has a good story line, lost of details so that the reader gets involved with the book. I will be reading more of R.E. Donald's books.

This is the second book in a series featuring Hunter Rayne, detective-turned-truck-driver. Don't let the cheesy name put you off and keep you from reading the book. (I really wish the author hadn't given this character such a "crappy romance novel" name) Like the first book, this is a well-written mystery with likeable and/or realistic characters. It's not filled with cloying romantic hogwash, as so many cozy mysteries are. It's a great read and is not formulaic in any sense, a characteristic I really appreciate. I am going to read all the books in this series, as the author knows how to write an engrossing story. Well worth paying for (though I got this book for free - I expect and will not mind paying for the others).
