Real-life SEAL Don Mann brings all of his insight and experience to the next installment of the SEAL Team Six series.

When a senator's wife and teenage daughter are kidnapped, Thomas Crocker and SEAL Team Six are sent to Mexico's lawless countryside, where federal agents protect violent narcotics kingpins instead of hunting them down. The two women have been taken by the Jackal, a drug lord drunk on power and influence. He also happens to be a self-styled modern Che Guevara, having undergone plastic surgery to disguise his looks and justifying his brutal methods and Machiavellian drug empire with the politics of social revolution. The Jackal is as ruthless as he is colorful, and he must be stopped.

Crocker and the SEALs have only a matter of hours to track down and rescue the two innocent civilians held at the mercy of this madman. With dirty cops, dangerous cartels, lavish tropical estates, double-crosses and plenty of bullets, Hunt the Jackal places the team in perilous new territory and demonstrates how elite warriors can adapt to and fight in any situation.

With insight into sensitive intelligence so top secret it can only be hinted at in fiction, Mann and Pezzullo have, over several books, used their extensive knowledge to offer a look behind the curtain at the life-or-death black-ops missions executed by a select handful of the bravest soldiers. Now, with Hunt the Jackal, the authors focus their lens even closer to home upon the dangers that lurk just across the U.S. border in a pulse-pounding thriller that ups the ante even as it sheds light on the real-life heroes and villains of the fight against narcoterrorism.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
At the start of Mann and Pezzullo’s exciting fourth SEAL Team Six thriller (after 2013’s Hunt the Falcon), thugs working for cartel boss Ivan Jouma (aka the Jackal) kidnap Lisa Clark, the wife of Jesse Abrams Clark, “the senior Republican senator from Virginia,” from a resort in Sedona, Ariz., along with her 17-year-old daughter, Olivia. When Warrant Officer Tom Crocker and the remnants of his team return from a botched mission to destroy a downed Predator drone in northwest Syria, they learn that their next job is to slip over the border into Mexico and rescue Lisa and Olivia. Ivan, who suffers from terminal hepatitis C, intends to appropriate Lisa’s liver to extend his life. The authors wisely keep backstory and personal problems to a minimum as Crocker and his men go about their dangerous business, which involves a boatload of Special Forces military action. Seal Team Six: Hunt The Jackal is a fantastic thriller. This book caught my attention from the beginning and held it until the very end. The storyline was intriguing, suspenseful, and on the edge of your seat action. The twists and turns was a WOW factor in this book for me. If you love mysteries, thrillers,or a fast-paced drama, I definitely recommend reading Seal Team Six: Hunt The Jackal. I enjoyed reading this book and I'm very curious about the next book. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and Net Galley in exchange for my honest review. This review is one hundred percent my opinion. Thank you Mulholland Books and Net Galley for the opportunity to read Seal Team Six: Hunt The Jackal by Don Mann.

What kind of man is so patriotic that they would undergo brutal training, live a danger-filled life that is deep black ops? Men like Tom Crocker and his SEAL Team, who are called in when there is no other choice and the mission is impossible. Once again, the Seal Team is called in to rescue a diplomat’s wife and daughter from the hands of Mexican terrorists and narcotics cartel. With little time to plan their mission, they are ambushed and the kidnap victims are nowhere to be found. There is a traitor on the inside, as time races to the finish, Crocker and his team now has two agendas, find the traitor and find the women, alive. Hunt the Jackal by Don Mann once again, takes the reader to the frontline of the bravest and best fighting machines around. Once again, we see the human side of their job, the devastation each mission can have on each soldier. Don Mann has created a gritty and dark world that flies by chaotically as action is coming in from all directions. For this type of read, I don’t want my heroes to be more than human, I want to know they are every bit as good as the real men who have faced down the enemy, every bit as human and that is exactly what Mr. Mann has given us. For those who enjoy a high tension, non-stop military thriller, here is your next great read.

This is another winner in the Seal Team Six series. It starts with action and continues at a non-stop action until the very last page. The book follows Seal Team Six, Black Cell as it attempts to rescue the kidnapped wife and daughter of a senator. I could not have guessed the reason for their kidnapping....and I love that I was so surprised by the reason. I have read the earlier books in the series and believe that the series just keeps getting better. This is a must read author for thriller fans - the successor to Clancy has been found. Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC.

I received this book from Net Galley for my opinion on this book. This book was written differently then the 3 previously books. The 3 other books were written in only Tom Crockers perspective but this book was written with several different people's perspective. It was interesting to see things from different perspectives and to see what other people were doing at a certain time and which we wouldn't normally know what was going on in their head. This was a sad book to start off with and ended sad. There was a lot of action in this book just not as much as compared to the other books. I didn't like Lisa and could have done with hearing her point of view. I still read through this book quickly and was entertained through out the book. There was more of a background story to this one compared to the others with the different views in the story. The book still flowed really well and the action was high. I do hope there are more books about Tom Crocker and his team, though I think he should retire after this last mission.
