Cooper by Dale Mayer SEALs of Honor Series Book Six Cooper Braxton is finally healed up and ready for action with his SEAL team. Especially when he finds out what the mission is. To rescue some missing American doctors who were taken from a refugee camp. One of the doctors missing had patched him up and pushed him to heal. He owed her. Dr. Sasha Childs had signed up for three months at this camp, she only had a few days left. Suddenly she finds herself attacked and a hostage. One of her colleague, an older doctor, was in bad condition. This wasn't looking good for any of them. Would help come in time? Another adventure with the SEAL team from the previous five books, plus a few new men. The author keeps the story moving along at a fast pace and manages to throw romance in between the running, rescuing, and fighting. Great series. **Sexual content and language

**ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW** This was yet another extremely fast paced read, which isn't necessarily a bad thing except that the ending felt so rushed, one minute there's a gun fight and the next Cooper and Sasha are kissing and pledging their eternal love for one amother..it felt incomplete. First off I don't understand what Theresa's situation had to do with Sasha? She was targeted for absolutely no reason at all, both in Turkey and California but both situations had nothing to do with her, so what was she, collateral damage? I understand David and Ron's roles but Sasha was literally the outsider in all of that, it was just ludicrous everything that happened to her when at the end of everything it had nothing, zero, nada to do with her. The only good thing to come out of it was her relationship with Cooper. They made a good fit, her and Cooper. He was a nice guy with a small hero complex, deny it all he wants, but the fact that he didn't make a move on her when she was married speaks volumes because many men wouldn't give a sh*t. Sasha was a spunky little thing with a great and positive outlook. She wasn't whiny, annoying nor clingy...Cooper was more clingy than she was. Still they worked well together and had each other's backs when the situation called for it. I didn't particularly like her mother's view of marriage. Caroline was a nice and sweet lady but to try and force her daughter to forgive the man who betrayed her, talking about men make mistakes..are you fu*king kidding me!! If he was unhappy, man the fu*k up and speak to your wife, don't fu*k her 'best friend' and then add even more insult to injury by having the trashy best friend move in with you! That man was a fu*king loser and Sasha was super awesome for standing her ground! Some mother's can be fickle I guess.. Overall, it was an interesting read but I would have enjoyed it better if the actual storyline had something to do with the main character and not the secondary character...still a pretty good series. An unexpected chance comes with a much needed rescue… This is the sixth book in the SEALs of Honor series that can be read as a stand-alone. A year ago, Navy SEAL Cooper Braxton was seriously injured and a female doctor not only saved his life but enabled him to return to the job he loves. Though he felt there was a definite connection between them, since she was married nothing could come of it, she was off-limits. While his team is participating in training exercises in Turkey, word reaches them of the doctor’s abduction with other medical staff from a refugee center nearby and nothing will keep Cooper from being part of the rescue mission. Needing a change to escape the fall-out of divorce from a cheating ex-husband, Dr. Sasha Childs took a three-month contract abroad assisting with the medical care of refugees in Turkey’s immigration camps. Though the environment is volatile some security is provided, the needs of displaced individuals is great and soothing to her inner turmoil, the distraction of the work enabled her emotional healing. Two days before her contract expires, she’s kidnapped by terrorists along with two other Americans. Terrified and not knowing how to extricate herself and the others from their captors, Sasha is glad to be rescued by a group of Navy SEALs. She finds one of them very familiar, soon recognizing Cooper, and his presence makes her feel safe, but still deep within a country at war the danger is not over so easily. When it follows her home the first person she thinks of to call for assistance is her Navy SEAL. A romance blooms amid some serious suspense and lots of pretty much non-stop action. With the mystery of why the doctor is being targeted to solve the SEALs race with Cooper at the lead to find the perpetrators. Sasha is a woman tossed out of her depth into dangerous situations yet she holds onto her humanity with a smart sense of humor. The banter between her and Cooper makes you smile. She’s a woman learning how to open up to others again and she revels in the power it brings. With so much happening around them the romance moves slow then seems to rush ahead to professions of love quickly, emotions heightened by the intensity of the circumstances they lived through together. This longer length novella was a much enjoyable second chance at love for Cooper with the lady he never thought he’d get a chance with. This SEAL given the opportunity was not letting it go without giving it his best shot, he’s definitely a “”keeper” and you have to admire his determination. I received an advanced reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

Cooper and Dr. Sasha are a great match. Cooper has been in the background for the most part in the series so far. Seeing him front and center and learning more about this Seal makes this book one of the best yet. Dr. Sasha has a sense of humor that had me chuckling many times. I love the comradery among these men and I grin along with them each time one of these Alpha males meets his match and falls hard. This story has romance, suspense, mystery, and humor. A perfect addition to the Seals of Honor series.

*received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review* I liked this! Cooper and Dr. Childs (tee hee) were a cute pair despite the situation. Things were a bit heavy in the beginning but by the time the mystery started to come into play, I was very entertained. Mystery and romance was great, I loved the suspense, and overall, it was a very entertaining read.

Dale Mayer really knows what she's doing with these Seals of Honor books! Seals of Honor: Cooper was an incredible book! The characters in this series really are one of a kind, so strong and loyal and full of integrity. They are true heroes. Cooper and Sasha are a phenomenal couple. He's so powerful and compassionate and protective. She's absolutely fierce and determined, and she's every bit a fighter. Together, they are quite the force to be reckoned with. This book grabbed me right from the beginning and just never let go. I truly loved every word of it! I would highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more in the series. * I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
