    Good book. BAD layout!

I love Grace Livingston Hill books and I've read this one before, several years ago. In the overview I think it said that it was scanned directly from the book itself. Well, whomever did the scan did a terrible job! It's hard to figure out words and the spelling is terribly bad. I couldn't get past the first couple pages because I was guessing too much on most of the words.

I give it 2 stars because it really is a good book. Too bad you can't read it.

    more from this reviewer

A terrific light romantic read - especially for one who is searching for God

As Ruth watches the drafted men board the train it finally begins to sink in exactly what these boys and their families are giving. Then she recognizes an old school chum saying his fairwells to his mother. She wonders who they can count on now.

John Cameron doesn't mind the draft - he only minds leaving his mother alone. He doesn't even have any friends he can ask to look after her. Cameron doesn't even have a relationship with the One he could ask for help.

Will they each be able to find One to love and one to share their life with?
