    Searching for David's Heart

Searching for David's Heart is a book about a girl named Darcy Deeton. During the book Darcy's brother, David dies in an accident. So she goes out on a quest searching for David's heart. I think Cherie Bennett wrote this book to show the reader things can't be as bad as how Darcy treated David just before he died and how she never got to apologize to him. So don't do what Darcy did. I think this book is one of the best books I've ever read. The book changes from mad to sad, in how Cherie does this makes it so good.
Searching for David's Heart is the story of Darcy Deeton and her brother, David. In the story it is Darcy's birthday and she is mad at David. So when David is going to go to a concert with his girlfriend he invites Darcy and Sam, her best friend, to go along. Darcy is mad at David so she refuses to go, but later she goes out to apologize and that's when the accident happens. Later in the story Darcy and Sam go out to find David's heart. During this adventure Darcy finds out some interesting news about Sam and about the person that has David's heart.
The book's plot is about a girl's brother dieing and the search of his heart. It is also about her feelings toward her brother, and his girlfriend and what she thinks she did. The main character, Darcy, is a shy, skinny, and happy girl at least she is until her world comes crashing down. David is an intelligent, athletic, and caring boy. Sam is a smart, weird, and happy boy. The setting takes place in Appleton, Wisconsin then moves to Miami, Florida. I think this book achieves its purpose of what it is suppose to teach because it teaches you about love and not being mad and lots of other emotions that take place. In comparison to all of the other books I have read this one is the best.
I think the author was thinking about love and relationships when she was writing this story. She wrote a book like this one to show you don't be upset with someone for too long because you'll never know what will happen. Also watch how you treat them because it could be the last time you talk to or see them. A few of my main points were about what happened on Darcy's birthday, about how she is mad at David, and how she treats him and his girlfriend. I think, and always will, this book is the best book I have ever read.
I love to read this book, I have read it about two times and every time it brings me to tears at certain parts. One thing I really like about it is how Cherie Bennett describes the character's emotions, what they are doing, what they are going to do. In my opinion everyone should read this book. The book Searching for David's Heart is about a shy, skinny girl named Darcy and her athletic brother David. When a devastating accident occurs David is left dead. Darcy attempts to do something risky. While she is doing this she finds out two surprises.

The best book in a long time

Life at Darcy's house isn't always easy, money is tight, and her parent argue a lot.Darcy is shy and quiet with most people because she stutters when she gets nervous but it's not like that with her brother David.Darcy and David were like best friends, that is until david get a gilrfriend and treats Darcy as if she were a pest.Darcy is hurt and humiliated, and one day after a huge fight Darcy runs off.David runs after her and gets killed in a shocking acccident.Darcy is sure the death is her fault. Then Darcy's parents decide to donate David's heart and other organs for transplant.Darcy believes that if she can find david's heart, even if it's in somebody else's body she will have found her brother. And so the search for david's heart begins.

    Ashley Suter: School Book Reveiw

I am a student at SOA and I am doing a book reveiw for a project so here it goes. I thought this book was amazing. It was a combination of different emotions. Such as humor, pain, sad, mad, and heartfelt. Personally my favorite part was when Darcy found Winston. I cried at some parts. I think it would be suitable for all ages because it's informational and intresting. I read it for a school book club and I'm glad I did or I wouldn't have a favorite book. I think that if you are an english teacher you should seriously assign this for your students because I thought I was going to hate it and thought it was going to be boring but it really wasn't. All the characters, I could relate to. Sam especially. He had humor and wasn't sarcastic about anything, that I know of. If you are looking for a good easy read, you deffinetly read this book. It's easy and it's really good, which is what every person wants, right. If you take my advice I promise you won't regret it.

Searching for Davd's Heart by Kaye 3B

I read the book Searching for David¿s Heart by Cherie Bennett. This book was a heart warming tale of a girl coming to terms with her brother¿s death. In the book, Darcy is a geeky, soft-spoken girl who loves her brother. When her brother gets a girlfriend though, he starts treating Darcy like a pest. David dies in a freak accident when Darcy and David still have unfinished business. When Darcy finds out that David¿s heart donated as a transplant she feels that she would be reunited with David if she could find Winston (the boy who has David¿s heart). Darcy and Sam set off on a great adventure and along the way they discover things things that are worthwhile. On the trip they develop self-confidence, encounter racist and elitist struggles, and learn the true meaning of heroism and friendship. This book is sad, heartwarming, and defiantly worth reading.

Best Book I Have Ever Read...Outstanding!!!!

The book I have read was Searching For Davids Heart written by Cherie Benett, there are many characters but the main characters are Dee Dee and Sam.The main problem of the story is that Dee Dee and Sam are going to go find Davids Heart. This takes place in both Appleton, Wisconsin and Miami, Florida. Many problems get encountered in this story but Dee Dee and Sam always Find a way to get around that problem. The problems they mostly, or recently encountered are like puzzles, but Dee Dee abd sam think about what they are going to do after what has happened to David. I would seriously recommend reading this book if you like adventurous books, my opinion to this book is that it is one of the best books I have ever read. If you want books that have stuff like traveling, suspense, problem types that make you want to read more I suggest reading thus book, you will really get hooked to this book, I promise that you will love this book.

    My Favrite Book So Far

The book Searching for David¿s Heart written by Cherie Bennett is about a girl named Darcy ¿Deedee¿ Deeton. Darcy is an 11-year-old girl who lives in Appleton, Wisconsin. Her family struggles from financial problems. On her birthday, her brother dies in a shocking accident. He donated his heart to a 12-year-old boy named Winston. Darcy still feels that her brother is still alive. She believes that because Winston has David¿s heart that Winston could be like David. So Darcy and her best friend Sam set out on an Epic adventure to Miami, Florida in search of David¿s heart. On this adventure they learn new things about themselves that they never would have guessed. They meet many new people and face hard problems that I would never be able to overcome. I would recommend this book to any kid or adult over 10. This book was the best book I have ever read so far. It is filled with adventure, emotion and, suspense. If I had to rate this book from 1to 10 think it would be a 100! This book is a great book and it is my favorite book so far. If you like books that are filled with emotion, suspense, and adventure then you will surely love this book. Searching For David's Heart

David Deeton, star Football player, wonderful and caring brother, boyfriend, and son, dies from a car accident leaving his sister and 'soul mate', Darcy, behind. But Darcy has a secret. Was it her fault that David is dead? She thinks so and to help her broken family become one again she sets out on a journey to find David's Heart. Along the way, though Darcy encounters some other pretty scary things-- her own fears. In this book of trials and tribulations one girl sets out to find a heart and ends up finding a peace of mind as well. All though this book is directed more toward kids of a younger age, I recommend this book to anyone who has lost a love one or just anyone in need of a beautiful story. I also recommend that you have a box of tissues at hand, for this is a tear jerker.
