Meet the Author

Lorca (1898-1936) was born near Granada. He wrote plays as well as poetry, and was the friend of some of the great artists of his time, such as Salvador Dali and Manuel de Falla. He was murdered at the height of his fame by Nationalist partisdans on the eve of the Spanish Civil War.
