About the Author

Naja Lund Aparico is a Greenlandic Inuk author with a background in international relations, and she is in the Institute of American Indian Arts' (IAIA) low residency MFA in Creative Writing program. Having grown up in Greenland, Naja now lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family.

Alex Nees is an illustrator of Choctaw and German descent. She spent her early years in California, before moving to the south of Germany with her family. She studied American literature and art history in Germany and the UK, following her love for storytelling and art. While at university, she taught herself how to illustrate and write for children. Alex currently lives in Denmark, with her daughter.
