    2nd Installment of Lexi Steele

I enjoyed the first Lexi Steele book and couldn't wait to see what type of trouble she could get into a second time around. Fortunately, she has her trusting sidekick, Nicholas Donovan, to assist her. Ms. Steele goes undercover as a madame in order to infiltrate a group of men who are involved in the sex trade. Attachment is made with one of the girls and Lexi and her partner do what they have to in order to get them out alive. This book also had some emotionsal moments when her family learns that the Steele matriarch is sick. I find Lexi to be tough as nails, but just soft enough for readers to relate to her. Cheyenne McCray allows her characters to be human enough to reach out, but also extremely tough to do the jobs they do as undercover agents breaking up human trafficking.

So when does the third Lexi Steel book come out?

I loved the First Sin and couldn't wait to get my hands on the Second Betrayal. Lexi and Nick are one hot couple, and it's always great to see a kick ass heroine get the job done. The tension between the two was a little hotter first time around, but that was an integral part of the storyline. I can't wait till the next one comes out; maybe Lexi will take the leap and admit her feelings to herself...
