THEY ARE BOUND BY DUTY AND DESIRE.

As an undercover agent for the NSA’s Recovery Enforcement Division, Alexi Steele is no stranger to the ways and means of the country’s most notorious sex criminals. Still, she’s never seen anything quite like this. Girls from across the globe are being recruited for a modeling competition in New York City, only to end up as enslaved prostitutes. BUT WILL THEIR FIGHT FOR JUSTICE TEAR THEM APART?

Finding the mastermind behind the sex trafficking is only one half of the challenge. The other is Nick. Even though she has always trusted him, Lexi can’t help but wonder whether he’s keeping something from her—a shocking secret from his past on the Special Forces unit. Meet the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cheyenne McCray writes the Night Tracker novels and the Armed and Dangerous series, among others. She grew up on a ranch in southeastern Arizona. She has been writing ever since she can remember, back to her kindergarten days when she penned her first poem. She always knew one day she would write novels—she wanted to create worlds that readers would get lost in, just as she had always gotten lost in her favorite books. “Growing up I read, read, and read,” she says, “and grew up to write, write, write.” She has three sons and two dogs. A true Arizona native, she loves the desert and all of the sunshine and beautiful sunsets that go along with it.

    2nd Installment of Lexi Steele

I enjoyed the first Lexi Steele book and couldn't wait to see what type of trouble she could get into a second time around. Fortunately, she has her trusting sidekick, Nicholas Donovan, to assist her. Ms. Steele goes undercover as a madame in order to infiltrate a group of men who are involved in the sex trade. Attachment is made with one of the girls and Lexi and her partner do what they have to in order to get them out alive. This book also had some emotionsal moments when her family learns that the Steele matriarch is sick. I find Lexi to be tough as nails, but just soft enough for readers to relate to her. Cheyenne McCray allows her characters to be human enough to reach out, but also extremely tough to do the jobs they do as undercover agents breaking up human trafficking.

So when does the third Lexi Steel book come out?

I loved the First Sin and couldn't wait to get my hands on the Second Betrayal. Lexi and Nick are one hot couple, and it's always great to see a kick ass heroine get the job done. The tension between the two was a little hotter first time around, but that was an integral part of the storyline. I can't wait till the next one comes out; maybe Lexi will take the leap and admit her feelings to herself...
