Gone is the old apartment building, home is now a nice little house on Sunny Lane. Soon Sandy is to marry, but can she convince Lynette it is for the best? Or will she need a little help from above. See excerpt:

Lynette still missed her daddy, she missed him with all of her heart. She now understood a little more, that he had died an honorable death serving his country. She now knew a specialist was a rank. Sandy, Lynette’s mother had explained it to her a little better over time. She explained to her about wars, and soldiers, and that sometimes people doing these things died. Sandy had even come to Lynette’s school and talked to everyone about her father and the heroic things he had done before he had died in that country named Iraq. Lynette had been so proud that day watching her mother behind the podium in the big gym clicking the button to make the slide show change from one picture of her daddy to another.

Lynette of course had been full of questions. “Mommy why can’t countries just get along? Mommy why do they have to fight with guns? Mommy why did daddy have to die? Mommy what’s a roadside bomb? Mommy, Mommy, Mommy?

    Good Holiday Story

I did enjoy this book. It went along well with Her Last Christmas. There were a few typos but the story was great. This would be a perfect book for someone looking for a short story that is a quick easy read. I have read both books in the series so far and would love to read more.

    Don't waste your money!!

Very poorly written. Do not waste your money on this book. It is 49 pages long and was so juvenile. The author kept using the word "seen" instead of the word "saw". Ex. I seen the girl walking down the street (Not actual words in the book but used in the same way.) I can't believe this book ever made it to print.
