Second Glance
Katrina Davenport is a third year nursing student at the University of Pittsburgh. She comes back to her hometown of State College, PA to join her friend LaRae Carter and a group of friends for the opening season college football game between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
She meets one of LaRae's friends, Darius Moore, a journalism student at Penn State. They talk and connect immediately, and deeply. They promise to stay in touch throughout the year. When Katrina gets back to school, she joins others who are looking at pictures from the game. She is shocked and hurt to see a picture of Darius with another girl.
She decides to deal with the shock by running and taking an early internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. During her internship, she establishes good chemistry with the doctor that she is assigned to work with; Dr. Mark Antwon.
Over time, the lines begin to get blurred between Katrina and Dr. Mark. At the foundation of her confused emotions are her unresolved feelings about Darius, which also has Darius confused back in State College. Unable to trust her feelings, how can Katrina navigate through her emotional web of confusion when nothing is as it appears to be?
