Great story - I really have been enjoying reading Hannah Alexander's books. She brings scripture into people's lives through their circumstances, and it helps us remember God is always near and puts us where He wants us to be. The title 'second opinion' will have a greater meaning when you near the end of the read. Enjoy!!

This book is full of questions that will keep you turning pages:
Has Lauren found the idyllic spot of her dreams in Dogwood Springs? or has she jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire?
And then things heat up even more when she is forced to work nonstop with the enigmatic Dr. Grant Sheldon. What is the source of the mysterious epidemic? Will these two dedicated medics be able to stop it? And who is behind the drug ring that is threatening their town?

Hannah Alexander writes compelling medical dramas. Second Opinion, the first in The Healing Touch series, features faith-filled characters in a fast-paced medical suspense drama.

The Hannah Alexander team creates characters that could truly be your real family and neighbors. And this one tops the list with breathtaking ER action with true to life dramas. I loved all the twists and turns involving each doctor, patient, neighbor and the christian love and beliefs they shared. You'll love Lauren and Dr. Grant and the love they find together in Christ!! Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

'That's how it works. Heart to heart. One person at a time. You look into their eyes, and then you look deeper. You see their . . . I guess you'd call it their soul. You see their pain and identify. And you listen. That's the big trick.' Dr. Grant Sheldon has an instinct for separating the law from mercy and holding judgment when aiming to heal the whole person. The chaplain seeks spiritual answers in the life and death crises of the Dogwood Springs ER and the complexities of his own personal love life. Bitter family fights, a runaway mother, and an ER staff member dealing with her own illness mix with competent storytelling, careful attention to medical details and bringing God into the equation.
