I love the Avengers, and the Secret Avengers is absolutely stunning! Whether you are buying a comic for the first time or are an experienced comic book reader, you will thoroughly enjoy this excellent example of Marvel's genius. The plot is intriguing and exciting, and the character detailing is incredible. I had never heard of the Ant Man before (have not read a lot of comics), and this also gave amazing insight into the lives of Steve Rogers, Nick Fury, the Beast, and all the other members of the Secret Avengers. I recommend this comic book for all ages and cannot wait for the second volume to come out (hopefully a little cheaper since I do not have a lot of money left on my B&N gift card).

James Bond meets the avengers.

This book deals with Steve Roger running a black ops, a strike team with the mission of dealing with espionage missions. It's lots of fun, I'm hoping to read more of the series.

Given the great spy stories that Brubaker did with Captain America, this was a disappointment. The team setup was nice, it started good, but I think it would have been more interesting if they stuck to earth and real(-ish) spy action.

Loved it, but i thought black widow was on the REAL avengers, still super good. Yet they leave you at a cliff hanger with no second (at least no on nook.)
