Twin brothers, Don and Dave, pull the infamous switcheroo in Edna Curry's, SECRET DADDY. A light-hearted Minnesota romance filled with deception and regret, Curry's story is a comfortable as a soft sweater on a fall day.
Unable to confess to his infertility, Don convinces his twin brother Dave to donate the sperm to inseminate his wife, Jenny. Cory is conceived and born with a secret identity, yet no one can deny he looks just like his father. An accident takes the lives of Don and Jenny, leaving Cory to be raised by Jenny's sister, Cathy.
The delightful cast of characters is drawn with a depth of emotions-the confirmed bachelor, a starving artist, meddling in-laws and a precocious toddler. All desiring the best life possible for little Cory, yet plagued my misinterpretation of motivation.
SECRET DADDY is a sweet tale of an unexpected romance blossoming from a tragedy and a good deed gone wrong. Edna Curry's book is one to be enjoyed with a warm beverage and a view of a lake. Her descriptive writing will leave you yearning for pan fried fish and the smell gravel roads lined with pine trees.
